Are Global Games Building Nations or Breaking Budgets?
One of my favorite lesson during my preschool, primary and junior high school days was physical education class. The reason being that it was a non scoring class that came with outdoor activities and a lot of fun. I doubt there’s any student who didn’t love those periods because on a normal day, we would always find something to take us out of class and physical education period was if for us.

Fast forward to today, I can say I’ve been a gym freak once because I’m a lover of active sports and as it stands now and has always been, I love to exercise. There’s no day I don’t take any opportunity I get to exercise. Honestly, in my part of the world, the importance of exercising isn’t really overemphasized and that has led to most of our population having health problems which could have just been prevented by an hour or thirty minutes of work out every day.
We all know the importance of exercise to our health as individuals. You really don’t need much to exercise and keep fit but the benefits is actually more important and worth it. Speaking of exercising, sports is the bigger umbrella and I think that in a way, sports is also another form of exercising and keeping fit.

When it comes to sports, there are actually numerous sports activities everyone can partake in. I don’t follow soccer much but I’m more of a basketball person. On a good day, I’d see some sports racing or wrestling or boxing matches being aired on television. In the world of sports, international sporting events are organised every now and then and the whole point is to bring every sports lover be it active or inactive participants together to have fun while also rewarding people who have dedicated many years of their lives to sports and to become better at the sports they choose to play.
In my point of view, these sporting events are not only necessary but also important and relevant. Why because these events don’t just throw light on the importance of sports, it also encourages people to also try out other sports and even take them up as their hobbies. In the long run, this goes to affect our overall health positively. If you ask me, I’d rather attend a World Cup event over some cocktail party any day. This is probably because I’m a sports lover but then again, I believe it’s the impact that counts. Let me not also forget how much it boosts the economy of whatever country or city these events are being held in. To add to this, young talents are sometimes discovered during such events.

Money is meant to be spent and trust me, the world has enough money to host sporting events while leaving enough to handle other issues. The money being invested in fashion shows and what have you isn’t even up to half of what an entire sporting event would cost. This is just an assumption though.😄 At the end of the day, I believe if the money being invested is going to bring back something good to those attending and everyone else in the world, then it’s worth it. Aside even the sporting and health aspects, there’s a lot of fun at such events and I can testify to that. On some days, it’s even more fun than being in the club on a Friday night.
To conclude, I’d say sporting activities are very important and worth it and they should be continued so everyone can get to be a part of it some day.

I agree with you that sporting activities plays lots of role in our world and should be left alone to run.
Well said
I totally agree with you! Sports are about fun, health, and connection and nothing beats the energy of a sporting event. I also think that when the investment is done right, it brings real benefits for everyone.
Very true. Thanks for passing by
