A Chapter I’d Remove From My Story

Life as we all know is full of ups and downs. There are so many things that happen in life that we can’t explain. But what we know is that we only have one life and we must live it to the fullest.

Growing up, I was surrounded by people who were so caring and present and as I grew up , I learned to appreciate their presence in my life. Looking back, there’s so many things I used to do with various people that I wish I could have a chance to do again with them but I guess life has its own way of doing things.

So many people that I have know while growing up are either in other parts of the country or the world doing their own thing and others, I know nothing of their whereabouts. But if there’s one thing I cherish most even with how distant we are now, it’s the memories I created and shared with them. Nothing beats the feeling of looking back to those goofy stuff you used to do so many years back and laugh at how stupid you all were. That’s the beauty of life and growth and all these memories make life a lot more better for us all.

But, there’s also those things life doesn’t prepare us for, yet we still have memories of them. Fresh like they just happened a minute ago. We wish those memories didn’t randomly just sip into our thought but they do. If there’s one memory i could erase, it would be that of losing a loved one. I mean, it’s something we all don’t expect. You wake up one day going about your daily activities and all of a sudden you hear that this person is gone. Not a goodbye, just gone and you have to somehow accept it. How fickle life can be but death is also a part of life we can’t do away with.

Those memories are memories I wound not wish on anyone because I understand the emotional and mental pain individuals go through in such situations. But life has to move on, and we have to find ways to deal with the pain, sadly.
