My First Quarter Review
Stock Taking
One thing I love doing is taking time to do a periodic review of my journey at intervals. This is to help me do an objective analysis of my progress, and also determine if to continue with the status quo or make some adjustments.
The first thing I want to do is to congratulate myself on the progress I have made so far since the year began.
My Wins
I started the year with a Hive Power of less than 100, but currently I am close to 210HP. This is not up to what I would have loved it to be, but I am happy it is more than what it used to be.
One of the things that helped me to grow my HP was the the decision to power up little amounts of Hive at every little opportunity instead of waiting for Hive Power Up Day only. I have had to move some liquid Hive from Binance into my Hive Engine wallet to be able to achieve this.
One decision I took at the beginning of this year which I have stuck to in the past 3 months was to ensure I participate in HPUD every month. So far, so good.
Another area that improved is my content creation and creation. Though to be honest, I should have done better in that area. Since Hive blockchain rewards a person for posting and engaging on posts, it is something I should do more often. But then, that thing called the writer's block is real y'all, 🤔 🙄.
In dealing with the writer's block, I decided to participate more in community challenges and contests. Apart from the possibility of winning prizes, those contests help to give writing prompts.
Areas To Improve
At the beginning of the year, I said I was going to create a content calendar for myself 🤦♀️. I never did, but that is changing in the second quarter.
Initially, I had planned to save every HBD that came into my account. But later, I decided to trade them for Hive so I could Power Up. I think I need to pay attention to that in the future.
I had also planned to grow my Leo, but I haven't even started on that. Or better put, this post will be my first start and I hope to progress in this regard in the second quarter.
That's All, Folks!
Well, this is a little review of my Hive Journey in the first quarter of 2024. There is great room for improvement, and I am positive about what waiting for me to explore and achieve in the next 3 months.
I don't know how it has been for you these past three months, but I hope you make better progress in the coming months.
Thank you for your time spent reading this post. It is much appreciated. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. If you have ideas for growth on Hive and Leo, that would be great.

Nice work ! It's definitely good to review where you're at. Curation is important - it helps others, helps get you noticed (which hopefully attracts upvotes to your posts in return) and is something I can do even when my brain is too fried from work to actually post anything 😁
Something which really helped me was to join the #SaturdaySavers club. It's a very informal and friendly initiative mostly within the LeoFinance board, where we all support each other. Setting my own goals, and then doing a weekly update post to let the other guys know how I'm doing really helps keep me on target. It's also helped me make some really great Hive Friends 😀
This is a great eye-opener! And this is my first time hearing about the SaturdaySavers club.
Thank you for sharing these tips, and thank you for your support in my journey. I remain grateful to you.
You've been an amazing writer and I think you will do better in next months to come. Keep the fire burning, you rock!
Awww! Thank you for your kind words @amiegeoffrey. You are an inspiration, you know, and I appreciate you ❤ 🙏.
You’re progressing little by little. I remember starting the month of February with 200HP too and now I’m over 500HP.
Just do what you do best and keep on engaging. You’ll get there for sure
Wow! That's amazing progress, and totally inspiring!
Yes, I am taking your advice for sure. Thank you so very much!
🫶🏽🫶🏽you’re welcome
Your story inspires me so much, Im also very low on hp now, but it constantly increasing by making new friends on hive and discord, I hope to get to 200 hp after mid 2024 too.
You are doing so well, @nbats, considering that you just joined Hive newly.
Keep creating quality posts, engage with other people's posts by commenting and upvoting quality content.
Before you know it, you will be far above where you are currently. Cheers to growth!
Oye young lady! Don't you fib now!!! Writer's block and you. Ya sure, and I have bridge to sell you. Every other day I get a post from you to curate. You write so often and write so well I am confused on why you would be blocked.
On a serious note I appreciate you might be blocked, but your work is still so fluid that we all want to be you :)
I love the way you have organized this. I will try and think of my quarter in the same way. I too thought about using Leo, and posted a couple of times. However somehow the peakd interface really works for me so I keep ending up publishing there . You say you wrote this post in LEO? The link on dreemport sent me to ecency - very interesting.
Anyways great first quarter, wishing you the very best for the rest of the year.
Cheers from a fellow #dreemerforlife
Thanks so much, @brijwhiz ! Your words actually got me smiling and grinning 😀 ☺.
There were times I just managed to write only one post in a whole week, while some people are writing and sharing 2-3 posts in a day, 😂😂😂.
I wrote the post on Leo frontend, but when I couldn't upload my photo, I had to change to ecency frontend and publish from the Leo finance community. That's why the link shows ecency.com
I plan to use both inleo and ecency more in the next quarter. Using inleo gives you more opportunity to earn more Leo tokens.
Thanks for leaving a beautiful and encouraging comment on my post.
You are a lovely writer and I think you will grow bigger in no time, keep up the good work and I wish you all the best in smashing your #hive goals.

Thank you so much for your kind words, @funshee . You are an inspiration, and I appreciate you ❤ 🙏.
Whatever challenges you might have faced in fostering a career on hive is no stranger to anyone here, at some point we had to go through it but we also got past it. Which means I believe as long as you stay consistent with the little you are able to do, I'm sure it will yield more positive results.
I tend to abstain from motivating people to do beyond what they could manage because at the long run it makes writing less pleasurable.

This very encouraging to read. Yes, I need to be more consistent even with the little I am doing.
Thank you for your sincere comment. I appreciate your visit, my fellow dreemer.
It is a good thing to keep track of one's progress. Thank you for this and I think I will also track mins too.
I am glad to hear that you are inspired to track your progress from time to time. Such actions help us to know where we are and if we need to improve in any way.
Thank you for visiting my blog, and wishing you all the best experience on Hive.
Congratulations @ngwinndave! You received a personal badge!
Wait until the end of Power Up Day to find out the size of your Power-Bee.
May the Hive Power be with you!
You can view your badges on your board and compare yourself to others in the Ranking
