A Stroll Inside Adesan Village
I created this collage
Hello and welcome to my space! It is always a great pleasure to have you stop by and take a look at my post. Thank you all so much.
Mowe Busstop along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
I had wanted to pay a visit to Mowe Main Market, located close to Lagos-Ibadan expressway, but the heavy rains have not allowed me the opportunity, so I will do that for another post.
In today's post, which is my first post in @worldmappin community, I am inviting you to take a look at Adesan Village, one of the many developing communities in Ogun State, Nigeria.
Adesan Community was originally an ancestral farming village in Mowe, Ogun State. In fact about 20 years ago, it was more or less a large expanse of farmland akin to forest, with farmers' huts scattered here and there.
Fast forward to today, the area has become a fast developing residential area. The plots of land that once were sold for about 100-200 thousand NGN now go for between 5-10 million NGN. I think it is safe to say that right now, it is very difficult to buy any piece of land in this area from the original owners, because most of them have sold their lands to estate developers or individuals that were quick to invest in those early days.
There are a few petrol stations, but I snapped one.

Motorcycles seem to be very common because of the bad roads, especially as there are heavy rains.
There are roadside spots for suya (grilled meat), roasted corn and even smoked fish.
Interestingly almost every building has at least a shop attached to it.
There were some other pictures, but they are not so clear, as everywhere seemed hazy.
I hope to be able to get clearer pictures next time, but I didn't want to wait till then so I wouldn't miss week 1 Challenge of the @dreemport and @worldmappin collaboration.
Thank you for reading to this point. All images used in this post are mine, taken with my Samsung Galaxy A20s.
Thank you once again.

Wow, land sure does appreciate with time.
Pls does week 1 end today?
#dreemport
Oh, yes! Land is one thing that keeps appreciating, and those that have opportunity to invest early in a new site get to enjoy much later.
The submission for week 1 was supposed to end on Thursday (yesterday). Check your submission page to see whether the option is still there.
Thank you so much for visiting ❤.
Aww that's too bad, I'll just submit next week
You're welcome 🤗
The effect of these daily continuous rain is obvious from the pictures you took; the messed up roads and hazy weather. The village is rapidly developing, from a forest- like environment to what it is today.
#Dreemerforlife.
I was almost discouraged because of the pictures. But I just said, "what the h..." 🤣🤣🤣
The area is developing fast. Even with the poor road network, the price of land is high. Imagine how it will be if they work on the road.
Thank you for your kind comment 🙏.
Everywhere has developed oo, I stayed for 6 months in Mowe around 2011 and most of the places were not like this, the area was just developing. #dreemerforlife
Wow! 2011 is about 13 years ago. I can just imagine how the whole place would have looked at that time. Now, they are calling it Mowe City and truly, that is what it is becoming.
Thank you for visiting and leaving such a lovely comment.
