Apples are very famous around the globe there are different kinds of apples but here i am gonna discuss some varieties of apple which are given below:-
- Red delicious
- Golden delicious
- Kullu delicious
- Royal delicious
Red Delicious and Kullu Delicious
These type of apples are red in colour, very juicy especially higher altitudes unlike lower altitudes, and have good market value. There are different apple producing countries in the world but as per my view Kashmir specially district @Shopian India is the best and quality producing. It is because we are living at high altitude like 7500 feets above the sea level. These types of apples are good in color, texture, long shelf life and great apperance in color.

20 September is the harvesting season for Kullu delicious and 10 October for the Red delicious. Different buyers from the different parts of the India likely going to visit soon and will purchase the fruits at good rates. 70 to 120 per kg Indian rupees it means 1.20 dollars per kg.

The large number of local people which are not associated with any kind of business, which are needed during the season. It creates livelihoods for millions of local as well as non local people.
Import and Export
When i was child i had so many questions in my mind like how these so many apples were exported ? What was the procedure ?. Now from last couple of years i got all the answers. Like installation of CA stores, cold stores and grading lines and professional packers.
First you need to harvest and then shift to plastic crates or wooden crates, after that shifted to CA stores. After are then professionally packed and then are exported to different parts of the world.
