When Dreams Become True; How I Lost My Sister to the Cold Hand of Death

©

I have had several dreams in my life, but the one that has remained with me to this day was the one I had about six years ago. It was that dream that made me understand that dreams are true to a large extent. However, I have heard cases whereby, people say that the spiritual realm controls the physical realm. I was not always comfortable with that statement until the scary dream that changed my mindset. Truly, it is the spiritual realm that controls the physical because before anything happens in the physical realm, it must have already happened in the spiritual realm. Most people might not believe this but the truth will always stand on its own.

However, most dreams are a result of human thoughts and imaginations playing out in their sub-consciousness. This should not rule out the fact that dreams are true. Dreams tell us about what will happen in the future. It’s a sign that one’s spirit is active. Hence, it gives humans prior knowledge of what to expect and also an opportunity to do something about it.

Six years ago, I was serving as a youth corps member in Edo state. During my stay over there, I had a dream, and in that dream, I found myself in my family compound. I walked to the veranda of our house and saw my elder sister lying naked on the ground. A pit was dug beside her and my father sat close to her with a shovel in his hand. Everyone was crying and weeping. I looked sternly at my sister and I realized that she was still breathing while everyone thought that she was dead. I said, “Why do you want to bury someone who is still alive”? Nobody responded to me. That was when I awoke from sleep. I was disturbed by the dream for many days and after insisting on the health status of my sister I was told that she was sick but was later fine. I did not share the dream with anyone. Before the unfortunate incident happened, a lot of people had dreams about graves in our compound. One told me about how she tried rescuing my sister from the gutter but she couldn’t. All of these point to the fact that most dreams can come to pass.

After some months I was told that she was severely sick again, as of then, I was nearly rounding up my service so I visited home after my service. Getting home I saw my sister in a very devastating state that made me shed tears. We tried everything possible to save her life but all efforts proved abortive. She later passed on. Till today, I am still missing her. With this, I had to believe that dreams can come true.

Dreams point us to what would happen in reality and also, as a warning to quickly avert bad ones. This is why dreams like that aren't kept to one's thought alone but to speak out while praying against any evil attack.
Sorry about your sister's death.
We also need to be careful, too when we have some uncomfortable dreams. God answers prayers.

It is very sad to hear about your sister's passing. May her soul rest in peace.

Dream like your's proved to be a premonition of things to come. These are the types of dreams we do not wish for or want to communicate to anyone about. It must have been hard on you. Here's hoping that her memory brings some comfort to you.
