Whatever You Spend More of Your Time on Should Be Able To Take Care of Your Bills

I recently realised that I spent more time on TikTok than on any other social media platform. I keep on sliding through different videos, and it’s always as if I am glued to it, and it is suddenly and gradually becoming an addiction, such that I cannot stay a day without seeing some TikTok videos. I also realised that I spent so much on data, as the platform consumes lots of megabytes of data. The concerning part of the whole thing is that I never make a dime from seeing all these videos, yet it takes money out of my pocket. So I decided to sit back and come to my senses that whatever I spent my time on, I should also be able to earn from it. It is unwise to spend your #time on things that are not profitable. It does not matter how entertaining and appealing it might be to the senses, it must be put aside. Unprofitable ventures should have the least of people’s time and energy. The time and energy should be channelled to profitable ventures. A lot of people are stuck in this, spending the greatest part of their 24 hours on things that are not profitable. What makes the difference between successful people and the unsuccessful ones lies in how they manage their time. Everyone has the same 24 hours a day.

I remember some time ago, the Facebook app had almost all of my time. Every day I wake up, I will pick up my phone and open Facebook. At that time, I was not yet introduced to the Hive blockchain chain, so I spent a whole lot of time Facebooking, watching reels, and chatting with friends. Even when Facebook began monetisation, I did not find it fascinating; hence, I was on the receiving end, consuming all that was posted on the platform. This is anomalous.

Many are yet to realise that spending time on the Hive platform can never be a waste of time. In #hive, the more time you spend on it, the more profitable you become. I read a quote somewhere that says if your duty in a day is to eat frogs, let it be the first thing you do when you wake. And if you must eat, start with the big one. Many people spend their early hours of the day doing the least thing, such that when they want to do the main work of the day, they are already exhausted. Spend your first energy of the day on things that are bigger and more important. Do this and see if you won’t be able to complete all the tasks set for yourself in a day.

I have decided that, if I am spending my greater hours of the day on a thing, such a thing must be able to take care of my bills, if not all, at least a part of it. Time is money and must be used wisely if otherwise, you become unprofitable and unfulfilled.
