The Rising cases of fraud on Hive. The need to be cautious

Two weeks ago, I almost fell for a well-calculated scam here on Hive. The scammer is intelligent such that, if you're not careful, you might fall for his trick. Recently, Hive has been a breeding ground for various kinds of nefarious activities, and these scammers are having a field day, stealing people's hard-earned tokens, and nothing is béing about it.

Every day a new format is being introduced, and many people are falling for it. Just yesterday, I got a tag from @melinda0010100 on a post asking me to claim a loyalty token. According to the post, it's a hive loyalty reward program. I wasn't captivated by the post or the program but the account that made the post.

The scammer deliberately cloned the @melinda010100 account with the same display picture. If you're not careful you will think that it's @melinda010100. I don't know how many people they have succeeded in stealing from but I would say that one needs to be careful when dealing with some stuff here.

The one that happened two weeks ago was so brutal that so many people became victims of this orchestrated nefarious activity. An account known as @hive.airdrop, with a hive logo on it, designed an interface that looks exactly like a genuine hive site. Many people who log in to the sites with their keys lose all their liquid tokens.

It's obvious that those responsible for these are not backing down soon, so in this case, one needs to be careful.

They know that humans desire free things. “Who does not like free things?” They use this premise to take advantage of innocent people.

Many people are victims of this fraud because of greed. When you want to reap where you didn't plant you're likely going to fall for a scam. Not all freebies are free indeed; some are baits to take a little that you had, therefore one should try everything possible to be satisfied with what one has.

In that same manner, I want to use this medium to call on one hive watcher to hunt down these accounts scamming people on the blockchain. Moreover, any sites that demand you to log in with your keys, ensure that you make findings, if not, it might be another scam site.
