Some challenges faced by Vibes Web3 Music competitors. Practical ways of surmounting them.

I am writing this as an individual who has submitted entries into the Vibes Web3 music competition from the initial week this community commenced this competition hence what I'm about to write is coming from the experiences as well as the things I have observed from among the participants. There are participants in this competition who have been submitting entries from the beginning of this competition till this current week 30 yet they have never been selected among the best ten. Not because some of them cannot sing or do not have a good voice but because of many factors that have posed some challenges making this achievement difficult though not impossible. Therefore this write-up is aimed at exposing some of the challenges participants of Vibes Web3 Music competition encounter in this course of recording and uploading their entries.

Gadgets

Having good gadgets is one of the advantages one can have over another who has bad or not up-to-date devices. The majority of participants use mobile phones for their recording. The truth is that not all mobile phones are capable of giving good quality sound recording. Selected phones that can do some of these tasks are very costly and lots of participants may not be able to afford them. Beyond this, other devices may include a good computer system that can edit videos to give quality productions and presentations. A Lot of people do not have these devices hence, it impedes such people from having a headway in this competition.

Quality sound recording

I can attest to the fact that when this competition began, a lot of presentations were done outside of the recording studios. A lot of entries were either in their sitting rooms, their veranda or other places other than a recording studio. But today, over 50% of entries are done in the studio and these people have an overwhelming advantage over those who cannot afford patronizing one or those without access to a recording studio. One of my onboardees told me a few days ago that he would love to go to the studio to record his entry for week 30 but he's financially constrained. I insisted that he perform off-studio, he said that those who are selected majorly do their entries from the music studio. I live in apparently a noisy environment and having a quiet place to make my video can only happen outside of my environment which a studio can only solve this problem. However, the cost of patronizing a studio session in my area is on the high side.
Beyond curtailing noise and distractions, a studio will give you a good-quality sound which would only make your work outstanding.

Language barrier

Although this might not pose a big challenge. But I think the vibes judges are of the English stock hence, entries from other languages may not have equal support to the ones in English. I remember some weeks ago I did my entry in my local language. A language spoken by a small tribe in my country. The entry did not have as much support as it ought to if it was done in the English language.

Camera phobia

To the best of my knowledge, some people are afraid of facing a camera to speak to it. This poses a challenge when recording their promotional videos. Some persons can sing to the camera but talking to it becomes a Herculean task

On the whole, none of these challenges can be insurmountable. For those having phobia, the more consistently you face the camera the more you become used to it. Also, with a little savings, one can afford a studio session for one's entry. Therefore, to be selected as one of the best entries you must ensure that you put in efforts in dealing with the challenges whatsoever that you face. With vibes, no one loses.
