Social media should be regarded as one of the wonders of the contemporary world. The impact of social media cannot be exhausted in the shortest possible time. It is the combination of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The outcome is as a result of what you do with it. Some people have met their breakthrough via social media while others too have met their Waterloo from the same social media. Everything boils down to what a person is doing with the social media platforms.

Some people are using their social media pages to cause discord and disharmony. They are keen to castigate and propagate controversy. They are known for that and going through their contents, one would hardly see anything intriguing and educational. However, some people use their page for creating educational, entertaining, and informative content hence thrilling readers and viewers. In the same manner, some people hardly create any content, their focus is to consume what others have done. Their pages are so dry and boring and nothing can one derive or achieve from following them online.

Social media is a great invention I must say. Beyond connecting people from around the world, it has recently become an office for people to work and earn a decent living. The inclusion of monetization has made the social media community an integral part of human endeavors and daily, people are signing up into various platforms.
Moreover, many people have become social media content creators to educate, entertain, and inform people and at the same time make money from doing so. At the end of the month or week, they are paid a certain amount of money. This has to a large extent increased the standard of living of people across nations of the world.

However, there is a need for one to be careful about the way he uses social media platforms. As much as social media can change the lives of users positively it can also destroy it. Not everything in the social media space is safe for consumption. Some content can corrupt the mind and negatively impact the way you live and relate with people. It is worthy of note that some social media platforms are not regulated hence erotic contents are allowed in there. Apart from being injurious to children, they can also be a stumbling block to the progress of adults. Some weeks ago, I stumbled on a video on the X space made by a user. In that video, he insulted the president of Nigeria said all manners of derogatory statements, and challenged the president to arrest him. Not long after, I learned that he was tracked and arrested by the state secret police and he's currently in detention. No matter how unfair life may treat you, it is better to express your opinion in a positive way than take it to social media. Though help may come and it may not.
