Graduating with a good grade — how it was possible for me

Behind every success, there are stories behind it. Any success celebrated has stories behind it. Most of the time people do not care about the story but the outcome. Life generally does not happen in magic but through procedures and processes as well as principles. When procedures and principles are followed it results in success. When stories and biographies of prominent men are read it serves as a lesson for others to learn. Some people become motivated to do better when they listen to other people's stories. That is why I deem it fit to share with people my success stories.

Many people are in school for different purposes, but the main essence of going to school is to learn, study, and have good grades. As a young high school graduate, I happened to gain admission into a university immediately after I graduated. As innocent as I was then, I had no other thing in mind than to attend lectures, do my assignments, and study. By the end of my first year, my result wasn't bad and was also not good enough. So I buckled up and worked harder till I got better results which made me graduate with a second-class upper division.

Techniques that help me succeed

Reading I spent virtually all of my time reading and studying my books and other related materials. I developed different reading techniques till I settled on the one that I cherished most. I did most of my reading in the night. I ensured that I must be in bed as early as possible, this enabled me to get up at night and do my studies. Whenever I read at night and sleep in the morning, I tend to remember everything in the afternoon.

Writing Another technique I employed as a student was writing. I read and write at the same time. With this, I can remember what I read. Writing was a form of briefly summarizing what I have read according to my understanding.

Cramming According to the English dictionary, cramming is An intensive course of hard study, for an examination. Whatever I read I am intentional at ensuring that I cram it word for word. This helped me during my examinations. While others tend to forget the meaning of concepts, I hardly had such an issue. The more I crammed, the more my brain cells developed to the extent that I could memorize long essays and write-ups.

Shutting down on all social activities At school, there were so many social activities like meetings, clubs, and others, I never fancied any of those, and that helped me to focus more on my studies.

Finally, no student can flagrantly scale through the walls of schools without intensive studying and research. This is the truth, know the technique that works for you and use it effectively.
