Milagros de domingo: el fruto de una semana prodigiosa [Esp/Eng]

Ha llegado el domingo como el colofón de una semana de sucesos milagrosos, y sin duda, esta comunidad es una de esas maravillas que nos han acontecido.

Nos pasa a menudo que en el ajetreo de la vida actual, donde la mirada está puesta en grandes objetivos, existe una ceguera ante lo extraordinario, y es que esas cosas extraordinarias a menudo las pasamos por alto, sin notar que son esos milagros cotidianos los que sostienen el mundo y le otorgan belleza.

Hace una semana noté que, mientras salía de mi casa por la mañana, toda la acera por donde paso está llena de pequeñas flores azules, y eso definitivamente es un milagro, pues las flores de tinte azul son unas de las más raras de la naturaleza.

Ayer, mientras esperaba a mi pequeña en su clase de pintura, no pude más que quedarme extasiada observando una enorme Palma Real que por momentos parecía tocar el cielo. Estar al lado de ese majestuoso árbol es sin duda algo fascinante.

El mayor de estos milagros, quizás, es la capacidad de conectar con otro ser a través de una mirada o una sonrisa, o por pura complicidad. En un mundo de siete mil millones de almas, cada encuentro auténtico es un pequeño prodigio y, justamente, no paro de celebrar el tener en mi vida personas bellas, personas extremadamente milagrosas, amigas que me han devuelto en múltiples ocasiones la luz. Esas personas son destellos de luz, milagros con nombre de carne y hueso.

Reconocer estos milagros no requiere fe en lo sobrenatural, sino tan solo la voluntad de afinar nuestra sensibilidad, ir un poco más lento en la vida y abrir nuestros ojos a todas partes.

Imaginen que estaba inventando un nuevo postre y descubrí la forma de hacer una natilla de fresa con piña que resultó ser la sensación de toda la familia. ¿Acaso hay algo más sublime que ver en los ojos de nuestra familia el deleite ante algo que hemos elaborado con nuestras manos y, más aún, con nuestro corazón?

No podemos dejar de estar atentos ante el hecho único de saborear el café de la mañana o de sentir el abrazo de quien amamos como si fuera la primera vez.

Sunday has arrived as the culmination of a week of miraculous events, and without a doubt, this community is one of those wonders that has happened to us.

It often happens to us that in the hustle and bustle of modern life, where our gaze is set on big goals, there is a blindness to the extraordinary. We often overlook those extraordinary things, failing to notice that it is these everyday miracles that sustain the world and give it beauty.

A week ago, I noticed that as I left my house in the morning, the entire sidewalk I walk on is full of little blue flowers, and that is definitely a miracle, since blue-tinted flowers are some of the rarest in nature.

Yesterday, while waiting for my little one at her painting class, I couldn't help but be enthralled watching a enormous Royal Palm that at times seemed to touch the sky. Being next to that majestic tree is undoubtedly something fascinating.

The greatest of these miracles, perhaps, is the ability to connect with another being through a glance or a smile, or through pure complicity. In a world of seven billion souls, every authentic encounter is a small marvel, and precisely, I never stop celebrating having beautiful people in my life, extremely miraculous people, friends who have given me back my light on multiple occasions. Those people are flashes of light, miracles with a name and a face.

Recognizing these miracles does not require faith in the supernatural, but only the willingness to sharpen our sensitivity, slow down a bit in life, and open our eyes to everything.
Imagine I was inventing a new dessert and discovered how to make a strawberry and pineapple custard that turned out to be the sensation of the entire family. Is there anything more sublime than seeing the delight in our family's eyes at something we have crafted with our hands and, even more, with our heart?

We must not fail to be mindful of the unique fact of savoring the morning coffee or feeling the embrace of a loved one as if it were the first time.
