Hello, Hive community! It's NekRo back to make my promised Nirvana post. I apologize for being gone so long, for personal reasons I wasn't able to draw.

Anyway, without further introduction, here's a drawing of Kurt cobain I made and information about Nirvana I collected for you to enjoy and learn about! :)

Nirvana was an American rock band formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987. Founded by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. Starting with Chad Channing as drummer.

By the end of the decade, Nirvana established themselves as part of the Seattle grunge scene with other bands such as Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam.

Nirvana released their first album, Bleach, for the independent record label Sub Pop in 1989. They developed a sound that relied on dynamic contrasts, often between calm verses and heavy choruses.

The band went through a succession of drummers, most notably Chad Channing, and then recruited Dave Grohl in 1990, staying with him for the remaining years that the band was in force.

After signing to record label DGC Records in 1991, Nirvana found unexpected commercial success with "Smells Like Teen Spirit," the first single from their landmark second album Nevermind.

In 1992, Nirvana's 3rd album, Incesticide, was released; a compilation of rarities, b-sides and other studio recordings, released on December 14 in Europe and the following day in the United States, through Geffen Records in collaboration with Sub Pop.

Their last and 4th studio album was In Utero, with Pat Smear on second guitar. It was released on September 13, 1993 by DGC Records.

The band's success popularized alternative rock and they were often referred to as the leading band of Generation X. Despite having a short professional career that lasted only seven years, their music maintains a popular following and continues to influence in modern rock culture.
