Seguridad y protección: mis niños aprenden a protegerse ante un riesgo sísmico
El 11 de marzo del presente año, se llevó a cabo en el patio de la escuela, una charla informativa a todos los estudiantes, personal docente, administrativo y obrero, sobre conocer la importancia de como debemos actuar antes, durante y después de un riesgo sísmico; así como, el simulacro de desalojo o evacuación, se contó con un personal calificado que interactuaron con nuestros niños en las aulas de clases con la compañía de algunos obreros, docentes y administrativos, entre todos estar informados sobre estos eventos naturales que pueden ocurrir en cualquier momento de nuestra vida.
Esta actividad estuvo muy nutritida e interesante, ya que nuestros niños recibieron información y preparación sobre cómo actuar y cuidarse antes, durante y después de un riesgo sísmico, además de el plan del simulacro. Aprendieron a realizar cada uno de los pasos a seguir en cada etapa del evento, ensayando cada uno de ella, los docentes y el resto de personal estuvimos muy atentos, ayudando a los instructores a realizar las actividades prácticas.
El simulacro se dio con total éxito, los niños y el personal en general mostraron responsabilidad, coordinación, unión y solidaridad, es muy bonito ver a los estudiantes ayudar a sus compañeros y guiar a los más vulnerables, en este proceso se divirtieron mientras cumplían con el simulacro. Les quedó muy claro que estos movimientos son impredecibles, en cualquier momento de su vida pueden ocurrir, por eso deben de estar preparados para asumir la responsabilidad y saber qué hacer, ya que no se conoce la magnitud del mismo y en algunos casos pueden ser traumáticos y devastadores.
Esta actividad, se había realizado anteriormente, donde se enfocó en que nuestros niños aprendieran a protegerse debajo de los pupitres o mesas sillas, colocando sus manos en la cabeza y tomando posición fetal estando en el piso, para hacer más dinámico este evento, el instructor a cargo, era el responsable de pitar con ayuda de un pito para que se ejecutara cada fase del evento, cada vez que pitaba, ellos debían adoptar esa posición, los niños se mostraron muy activo en esta dinámica, muchos la tomaron como una oportunidad para aprender y jugar, mientras cumplían con la dinámica. Y en esta oportunidad se enfocó en el simulacro de desalojo. Al final de la charla se realizó el plan en el patio de la institución y posteriormente a la comunidad más cercana, en esta última actividad fue que realmente nos enfocamos.
En el plan de desalojo, cada salón saldría con sus estudiantes organizados, donde se protegían con una sola mano su cabeza y la otra se la colocaban en el hombro al compañero. Después de que culminó, los estudiantes mostraron sus inquietudes en cuanto a estos temas, siendo aclaradas por parte del personal de Protección Civil, algunos estudiantes daban las gracias y mostraban la importancia de estar informados y preparados en caso de ocurrir un movimiento sísmico. La actividad tuvo su impacto positivo en toda la colectividad.
Todo el personal que labora en nuestra institución, tenemos la gran responsabilidad y el compromiso de guiar y ayudar a nuestros niños a cumplir con el plan de evacuación y desalojo después de ocurrir el evento. Desde que abordamos nuestro espacio de labor, pasamos a cumplir nuestro papel de padres sustitutos y responsable, en nosotros recae una inmensa tarea. Esperando que estas actividades se realicen con más frecuencia, para seguir aprendiendo y creando conciencia entre todos y en especial nuestros hijos de la vida, en cuanto a lo aprendido en el día de hoy, así podemos tener una actitud más optimista y responsable ante esta eventualidad. Today I want to share with you, this beautiful learning next to our children in the school where I work, the Educational Unit Roman Chalbaud, about a workshop we received from Civil Protection of our municipality Bolivar, which are bodies responsible for prevention and protection of the population in general.
Safety and security: our children learn how to protect themselves from seismic risk
On March 11 of this year, an informative talk was held in the school yard for all students, teachers, administrative staff and workers, about the importance of knowing how we should act before, during and after a seismic risk; as well as the evacuation drill, we had a qualified staff that interacted with our children in the classrooms with the company of some workers, teachers and administrative staff, among all to be informed about these natural events that can occur at any time of our lives.
This activity was very nourishing and interesting, since our children received information and preparation on how to act and take care of themselves before, during and after a seismic risk, they also learned to perform each of the steps to follow in each stage of the event, rehearsing each one of them, the teachers and the rest of the staff were very attentive, helping the instructors to carry out the practical activities.
The drill was a complete success, the children and the staff in general showed responsibility, coordination, union and solidarity, it is very nice to see the students helping their classmates and guiding the most vulnerable, in this process they had fun while they carried out the drill. It was very clear to them that these movements are unpredictable, they can happen at any moment of their lives, that is why they must be prepared to take responsibility and know what to do, since the magnitude of the earthquake is unknown and in some cases they can be traumatic and devastating.
This activity had been done previously, where the focus was on our children learning to protect themselves under the desks or tables chairs, placing their hands on their heads and taking fetal position while on the floor, to make this event more dynamic, the instructor in charge, was responsible for whistling with the help of a whistle to execute each phase of the event, each time he whistled, they had to adopt that position, the children were very active in this dynamic, many took it as an opportunity to learn and play, while complying with the dynamics. And this time the focus was on the eviction drill. At the end of the talk, the plan was carried out in the courtyard of the institution and then to the nearest community, in this last activity was that we really focused.
In the evacuation plan, each classroom would leave with their students organized, where they would protect their heads with one hand and the other hand would be placed on the shoulder of their classmates. After it ended, the students showed their concerns about these issues, being clarified by the Civil Protection staff, some students thanked and showed the importance of being informed and prepared in case of a seismic movement. The activity had a positive impact on the entire community.
All the staff working in our institution, we have the great responsibility and commitment to guide and help our children to comply with the evacuation and evacuation plan after the event occurs. Since we board our work space, we fulfill our role as surrogate and responsible parents, we have an immense task. We hope that these activities are carried out more frequently, to continue learning and creating awareness among all and especially our children of life, as to what we learned today, so we can have a more optimistic and responsible attitude to this eventuality.
