Weekend-Engagement topics: - WEEK 204: I still publish on Hive even if I don't monetize.

Social networks and blogs have revolutionized the way we communicate and interact online. They have enabled people around the world to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences instantly and on a large scale. Hive, in particular, stands out for its focus on decentralization and rewarding content creators through cryptocurrencies.

In a scenario where there was no financial reward for posting on Hive, it is likely that many users would question whether they would continue to actively participate on the platform. The motivation behind creating content would change significantly, as the prospect of earning remuneration would fade away. However, this does not necessarily mean that the quality or quantity of content would decrease.

Instead of focusing on financial reward, I find other motivations to continue publishing on Hive. For example, the desire to share knowledge, express ideas, connect with other users or even influence public opinion are valid reasons to remain active on the platform. Hive allows me to develop my mind, to activate it in the face of constant suggestions for topics to participate in the various communities.

In addition, the possibility of creating a community around a specific topic or generating impact through content is also a powerful incentive to continue participating in Hive.

The Hive platform has allowed me to acquire skills that I didn't even think I had such as: using graphic design programs, developing skills making collages and gifs, taking pictures related to the environment in which I move, writing fictional stories of suspense and horror, writing and giving my opinion in very specific niches such as film and television. I have to say that I like the feedback achieved through the comments made by my peers in Hive.

In the same way I have known the opinions on some special topic of people from anywhere in the world and participated in their communities, from what I learned that we are not always right in some things, I learned to be more empathetic with people and to respect other people's points of view.

Likewise, I disagree in the best possible way with some users on certain topics that I find manipulative and toxic, is that in Hive there is everything so we must be rational, conscious and respect our values and beliefs as we respect the values and beliefs of others.

On the other hand, the lack of financial reward may discourage some users who depend on it as a source of income. For those who see Hive as an opportunity to earn additional income or even to dedicate themselves entirely to content creation, the absence of this reward could be a determining factor in abandoning the platform or reducing their activity on it.

The decision to continue wanting to publish blogs on Hive if there were no financial reward will depend on the individual goals and motivations of each user. In my particular case the passion for creating content, the desire to connect with others and the commitment to an online community are aspects that take precedence over monetary reward, so it is possible that many users like myself will choose to remain active on the platform.

In conclusion, while monetary reward is an important element in motivating Hive users, it is not the only factor that determines my participation on the platform. The community, the impact of the content, and the connections made through blogging also play a crucial role in my decision to continue wanting to post on Hive. In a scenario without financial reward, these other motivations become even more relevant and that is why I would keep my activity on the platform alive.

This is my participation in the Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 204, suggested by @galenkp Link here.

My chosen topic this week is the following:

Would you still want to post blogs on Hive if there was no monetary reward at all? Why or why not? Explain.

Best regards, I hope you all have a happy and excellent weekend.
