As I told you all through my previous blog how we reached Sarkanda Dhar from Fancha Kanda. I am sharing the link of the previous blog below where you can read the Fancha Kanda Se Sarkanda Dhar hiking blog.

While going to Shrikhand Kailash, we spent our second night in Sarkanda Dhar. We were staying in our tent. Sarkanda Dhar is at an altitude of about 3900m above sea level. The cold had also increased due to heavy rain at night. We could hear heavy rain and thunder of lightning inside the tent. The rain also stops as soon as it is morning. There is fog all around. We have breakfast in the morning and pack our tent and move ahead towards Majbon. Majbon is the base camp of Shrikhand Kailash. Shepherds also live here who also arrange food for the travelers. Our third day on the way to Shrikhand Kailash.
We start walking from Sarkanda Dhar at seven in the morning. There is not much strength in the body due to eating Maggi. Vinay is having difficulty walking with a heavy bag. Now we are above the tree line. Today we have to climb less steep slopes. Many colorful wild flowers are blooming on the way.

The distance from Sarkand Dhar to Majbon is about four kilometers.
Walking, we reach a ridge. From here we can also see the shelter of shepherds. Vinay is quite tired, he looked very happy to see the shelter.
I tell Vinay that even though we can see this shelter close, it will take us an hour to reach here. We had to cross big stone boulders and small glaciers to reach the shelter. After resting and eating snacks, we start walking ahead towards Majbon. On the way here, I also see Brahmakamal (Saussurea obvallata) flowers. This rare flower is seen only in high altitude areas. I consider myself lucky that I got to see this flower. After walking continuously for an hour, we reach Majbon. The shepherd asks us for food and we were also hungry, so we immediately say yes. After two days, we eat dal rice. After eating dal rice, our energy becomes the same as before. All the fatigue goes away.

These are also two local boys who have come to the mountains these days to search for herbs. They are going to the lake which is right below Shrikhand Kailash. I have heard about this lake from Shepard even before. I tell the local boys that we also want to see the lake. I have been traveling for so many years but never got a chance to go to the lake.
They say that the path to the lake is difficult, will you be able to walk? I was so eager to see the lake that I agreed to go to the lake without thinking. I asked Vinay to stay there because I was worried about him as he had come for the first time on this trip but he also insisted on seeing the lake. We kept all our luggage in a tent made of sheep straw and started walking towards the lake with the local boys. The weather is clear now, many beautiful flowers have bloomed on the way and there is greenery and high snowy mountains all around. While walking, we take a little rest on the way and suddenly fog covers the road. The fog is so thick that nothing is visible. We move ahead and it also starts raining. The rain starts getting heavy so we sit under a big rock and wait for the weather to clear. Due to the heavy fog, the local boys are finding it difficult to identify the mountains. They are having trouble finding the way ahead. We have been sitting under this rock for two hours and the rain is also not stopping. Arvind says that we cannot go further now (one of these boys' name is Arvind) the weather is bad, we have to go back now. If we don't leave from here before nightfall, we may get into trouble.
I tell Arvind whatever you feel is right.
We go back to the base camp in this heavy rain. I was a little sad as I could not reach the lake but we could not go further in such weather.
These boys somehow take us to a ridge through dangerous paths. Shivling is just half an hour away from here. It is about to be night, so we decide to go back to the base camp. We reach Majbon at around eight in the night. Those local boys today stay with us in their tent and also cook food for us. After eating food, I fall asleep immediately.

That's all in today's blog, wait for my next blog to know about my further journey.
Thank you.
