Enjoy typical Gayo coffee at night
The habit of drinking black coffee has become a habit of people in various parts of the world. It's very natural that when they enjoy it, they have their own method or methods. In fact, these methods are then able to bring them into a close relationship with black coffee itself.
Want to know which countries have unique habits of enjoying black coffee? Come on, take a look at the following review!
Italian with Affogato
Everyone may have a "personal relationship" with espresso. There are those who like and enjoy drinking plain espresso, there are also those who prefer to mix it with other ingredients, such as additional water or milk. Well, however, perhaps none of these methods are as unique as the Italian way of enjoying affogato.
This dish is made by dipping a scoop of vanilla ice cream into a cup filled with espresso. If you don't have a portable espresso machine, you can also use the coffee you have at home as a substitute!

Türkiye and Yemen with Turkish Coffee
Don't be mistaken that Turkish coffee does not originate from Turkey! Before it became popular in this country, this method of serving black coffee first appeared in Yemen. Then, it was brought to Türkiye and other countries in the Middle East region. This is the reason why Turkish people often call this coffee "Arabic coffee."
In general, all versions of Arabic coffee are made in the same way, namely boiling water, fine coffee powder, sugar and cardamom together. However, especially for Turkish people, they cook it in a cezve pot placed on the surface of hot sand. So, if you want to make it, you can also just use the pot you have at home and use ingredients such as Arabic coffee in general.
Finland with Cheese Coffee
Cheese coffee or what is known as kaffeost in Finland is a black coffee dish dipped in several cubes of cheese. The purpose of this habit is so that the cheese absorbs the coffee liquid and becomes soft like a sponge. Therefore, they will use a special cheese, namely leipäjuusto or bread cheese made from reindeer milk.
Vietnam with Vietnamese Drip
Apart from being rich in culture, Vietnam also has its own way of making black coffee, namely by using a drip coffee machine which has been around since the French colonial period in the 19th century. From there, this tool has become increasingly popular both throughout Vietnam and abroad. In fact, you can also get it easily and cheaply.
Not only that, how to make it is quite easy. Place the coffee grounds into the Vietnamese drip, then pour hot water so that it passes through the grounds and out through the filter hole. However, because the filter hole is small, it may take you longer than usual, which is around 10 minutes. After that, you can enjoy a delicious cup of black coffee!
Tarik Coffee from Malaysia and Indonesia
Indonesia and Malaysia have many similarities because of their close geographical location. This is what makes several dishes found in Malaysia also available in Indonesia, such as pulled coffee.
Kopi Tarik is a variation of Teh Tarik from Malaysia where the process of pouring water during brewing requires movements such as pulling upwards to produce a delicious dish with unique foam. Somehow, this method eventually gave birth to coffee pulled, which is a typical drink on the opposite island of Malaysia, namely Sumatra or, to be precise, Aceh Province.
So, those are the various facts about black coffee and how it is served by people all over the world. Basically, these methods are not done just because of the unique steps. These unique methods are a sign that each culture has different coffee drinking habits, even though there are several similarities between them.
If you are interested in enjoying a cultural touch in your cup of coffee, you need to know that the type of coffee beans used is also an important factor. One product that offers two types of Indonesian coffee beans is NESCAFÉ Nusantara with Lampung Robusta beans and Mandailing Arabica beans. The two are specially combined to produce delicious coffee, full of cultural richness, and easily dissolved, even in cold water.

Well, here in Venezuela we can drink it in different ways, however, drinking a strong black coffee, at least in my case, is fabulous and energizing. Just by adding a little bit of water
@naturalshooter very instructive post.thanks for sharing.cheers
In Venezuela we make it in a very similar way but we do not use cardamom. On the other hand I found the cheese inside the coffee interesting and although it is not our custom we know that it is delicious because we stuff the bread with cheese and then we dip it in coffee and ummm! Delicious 😋
