🐕🎥Review Strays: A dog movie that is NOT suitable for children./ Reseña Strays: Una película de perros que NO es apta para niños.🎥🐕

💓 Hello Fans of cinema! 💓

We tend to pre-establish that all content that is animated, or with animals as "protagonists" will be guaranteed family fun, and this is a big mistake.

Cinema is very diverse, and we must internalize this. One night looking for something fun to watch on cuevana I came across the poster of this movie, it showed 2 puppies and a red wall background I thought "oh, how cute! It looks like it could be funny!", and it was, but not in the way I thought it would be.

Its very sarcastic, black humor, full of bad language and sexual allusions really surprised me, it wasn't what I expected when I saw the poster, but they throw it in your face from the very first moment, so it's not like it's progressive this either, the whole movie is like that. The night before we had seen "Were the Millers" and this was a good run of comedy movies(which still continues) to get me out of my typical picks to see, which are usually horror, z cinema, in short, anything gore, death, blood, ghost and zombies is my thing.

It deals with animal abandonment from the perspective of those affected, in this case the puppies. The story gets sad at the beginning, but quickly raises awareness while getting a good laugh out of you, that is if you are not affected by the humor or the language used. I watched it in English with Spanish subtitles, and without a doubt the dubbing of Jamie Fox as Bug, Will Ferrer as Reggie, Isla Fisher as Magie and Randall Park as Hunter gives each of the dogs a very distinct personality.

They place the dogs in situations in which we humans are involved but without humanizing them. Animals have feelings, and it is known that dogs in particular tend to be loyal to their human companions, even if they go through conditions that are not the best for them. I also find it very curious and intelligent how they show that it is really the animals who choose their companions, not vice versa as we usually assume in our "superior beings" complex.

The cinematography, story development and script are very good, when the dogs talk the cgi is a little bit lame, I don't like that they move their mouths artificially, I dislike that effect, but I let it pass because of the goodness of the movie and after a while you are having such a good time that you don't even notice that kind of thing. Despite having a very important background and raison such as the awareness of animal abandonment and mistreatment, it is not a production to be taken very seriously, it is a simple comedy film with obscene jokes, beatings, swear words and sexual jokes.

It is quite recent, it was released in August of this year and its director is Josh Greenbaum and the production company Picturestar.

If you want to have a good time watching something quiet at home, (because I definitely don't think it's essential to see it at the cinema) it's a good option and I highly recommendor if you have already seen it, let me know what you thought of it! 💞 Hugs, kisses, drink water and brush your teeth! 💞
