Hello, anime fans. This time I will tell you about five romance anime, another very popular and commercial genre where every quarter of the year we see a sufficient amount of broadcasts to always renew this top. As with the fantasy genre, romance has a wide variety of subgenres that become more and more difficult to classify as time goes by. However, the most commonly used subgenre is the romantic comedy (RomCom), which is very common to see in series of stories of middle school or high school students. On the other hand, this genre is not limited to comedy, but even in some fantasy works we can also see elements of romance in their stories. Because of this, it is convenient to take into account this personal choice of romance anime that I bring you today, in case you want to see something new and according to your tastes and preferences. Don't forget that what you will read below is just my personal opinion, I don't recommend you to watch all of them, only the ones I will tell you to watch at the end.

En esta ocasión les hablaré de cinco animes de romance, otro género muy popular y comercial donde cada trimestre del año vemos una cantidad suficiente de emisiones como para renovar siempre este top. Al igual como sucede con el género de la fantasía, el romance tiene una amplia variedad de subgéneros que cada vez se hacen más y más difíciles de clasificar mientras pasa el tiempo. Sin embargo, el subgénero que más se usa es el de la comedia romántica (RomCom), la cual es muy común verlas en series de historias de estudiantes de secundaria o preparatoria. Por otra parte, este género no se limita con la comedia, sino que incluso en algunas obras de fantasía también podemos ver elementos del romance en sus historias. Debido a esto, les es conveniente tener en cuenta esta elección personal de animes de romance que les traigo el día de hoy, por si es que quieren ver algo nuevo y acorde a sus gustos y preferencias. No olviden que lo que leerán a continuación es solo mi opinión personal, no recomiendo verlas todas, solo las que de verdad les diré que vean al final.

We start this top with a generic teen and school romantic comedy anime, one more of the bunch, really. This is a perfect example of those anime that always replicate or repeat more than once during each season, only with slight differences in terms of plot or story. Despite this, it is incomprehensible to me to see how popular these commonplace series can become within the anime industry. Obviously, this does not affect the fact of placing this work in this position for being the least original and least authentic of the entire list. Based on the eponymous light novel series written by Seijuu Amano and illustrated by Nanami Narumi, this anime adaptation was produced by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. It tells the story of Saitō Hōjō, a high school student with a wealthy family who, one day, is dragged by his grandfather to meet his childhood best friend, who is also the grandmother of one of his classmates. But she is not just any classmate, but the girl he hates the most in the whole school. This time they will have to swallow their hatred for each other as their grandparents will unite them in an arranged marriage and they will start living together from that moment on.
Yes, leaving aside the flashy premise of the couple who hate each other and end up getting married and living together (something even Hollywood has done on more than one occasion), what we see in this anime is pretty much the same old same old of a typical teen RomCom. I mean, it's not that I don't like this kind of stories, but since I've been doing this for more than two years I've seen so many similar anime that it's hard for me to find one that stands out for something other than good animation or a slightly different plot. In this case, both the main character and the supporting characters are made to deal with the typical teenage love dilemma that in the East they love to replicate, but with certain details that complicate the plot more and more in order to lengthen what is a simple and absurd love story between teenagers. Yes, it's the typical love triangle, with the typical misunderstandings and the usual awkward moments and double-entendre jokes. And if all this wasn't enough, some of the characters in this particular anime are so heavy and stressful that they are simply unbearable to watch.
On the other hand, let's talk about its animation. Having two studios in charge, you would expect at least acceptable quality on a visual level with this anime that offers nothing more than the same old same old. Unexpectedly this is the case, managing to offer a level of quality, fluidity and details that can be highlighted over most romance anime with poor and rigid animation in terms of quality and fluidity. Of course, it is noticeable that the budget is mostly spent on the character designs, especially on the female characters that often seek to sexualize as slightly as possible with a fanservice very common in this type of works. Otherwise, everything is very good including the palette of light and vivid colors, the animation style, the sound effects and the soundtrack that the anime has. In addition, the Opening is entertaining to watch, as well as having a nice pace. However, all this does not replace the fact that it is just another RomCom anime.
Personally, I give it a rating of 6.5/10 as far as the romance and comedy genre is concerned.

Empezamos este top con un anime de comedia romántica juvenil y escolar genérico, uno más del montón, la verdad. Este es un ejemplar perfecto de esos animes que siempre replican o repiten más de una vez durante cada temporada, solo que con diferencias leves en cuanto a trama o historia. A pesar de esto, me es incomprensible ver lo populares que pueden llegar a ser estas series tan comunes dentro de la industria del anime. Obviamente, esto no afecta el hecho de colocar esta obra en esta posición por ser la menos original y menos auténtica de toda la lista. Basada en la homónima serie de novelas ligeras escrita por Seijuu Amano e ilustradas por Nanami Narumi, esta adaptación animada fue producida por Studio Gokumi y AXsiZ. Relata la historia de Saitō Hōjō, un estudiante de preparatoria y con familia adinerada que, un día, es llevado a rastras por su abuelo a verse con su mejor amiga de la infancia, quien a su vez es abuela de una de sus compañeras de clase. Pero no es cualquier compañera de clase, sino la chica que más odia de toda la escuela. Esta vez tendrán que tragarse su odio entre sí ya que sus abuelos los unirá en un matrimonio arreglado y empezarán a vivir juntos a partir de ese momento.
Si, dejando de lado la llamativa premisa de la pareja que se detestan entre sí y que terminan casándose y viviendo juntos (cosa que hasta Hollywood ha hecho en más de una ocasión), lo que vemos en este anime es prácticamente lo mismo de siempre de un típico RomCom para adolescentes. Digo, no es que no me gusten este tipo de historias, pero desde que he estado haciendo esto hace más de dos años he visto tantos animes similares que me cuesta encontrar alguna que se destaque por algo, más allá que por su buena animación o porque su trama sea ligeramente diferente. En este caso, tanto el protagonista como los personajes secundarios están hechos para tratar el típico dilema amoroso juvenil que en oriente les encanta replicar, pero con ciertos detalles que complican cada vez más la trama para así alargar lo que es una simple y absurda historia de amor entre adolescentes. Si, es el típico triángulo amoroso, con los típicos malentendidos y los típicos momentos incómodos y chistes de doble sentido de siempre. Y por si no fuera suficiente con todo esto, algunos de los personajes de este anime en particular son tan pesados y estresantes que simplemente son insoportables de ver.
Por otro lado, hablemos de su animación. Teniendo a dos estudios a cargo es de esperarse una calidad al menos aceptable a nivel visual con este anime que no ofrece nada más que lo mismo de siempre. Inesperadamente esto sucede así, logrando ofrecer un nivel de calidad, fluidez y detalles que se puede destacar por sobre la mayoría de animes de romance con animaciones pobres y rígidas en cuanto a calidad y fluidez. Claro, se nota que el presupuesto se va mayormente en los diseños de los personajes, sobre todo en el de los personajes femeninos que frecuentemente buscan sexualizar lo más levemente posible con un fanservice muy común en este tipo de obras. De resto, está todo muy bien incluyendo la paleta de colores claros y vividos, el estilo de animación, los efectos de sonido y la banda sonora que tiene el anime. Además, el Opening es entretenido de ver, además de tener un ritmo agradable. Sin embargo, todo esto no sustituye el hecho de ser un anime RomCom más del montón.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 6.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de romance y comedia.

Let's continue with another romantic comedy anime, but this time set in a fictional medieval world of kings, dukes and royalty. And as if this were not enough, this anime has a plot and story somewhat strange and unpredictable to see for a work of this type. Highly criticized at first, but in the end worthy of being considered a work deserving of this place in this top. Based on the eponymous light novel series written by Izumi Sawano and illustrated by Miru Yumesaki, this animated adaptation was produced by ETM Squared studio. In it we know the story of Leticia Dorman, who is the daughter of a duke who agreed with his wife to make an engagement between her and the crown prince, Clark at the age of only 7 years old. Since then, she has been confined to the royal palace where she receives frequent lessons and education in order to become the exemplary future wife of the prince. However, what no one takes into account is that Letty is a free spirit and wants to escape from this place at all costs.
With a premise like this, it is to be expected that this anime will catch your attention. However, I would like to warn you not to get your hopes up. Being a Shojo anime (i.e., dedicated specifically to a young female audience), it is common for this work to revolve more around a somewhat dysfunctional, suffocating and even funny to watch love relationship. But as much as you might expect incredible plot twists or character developments of such a high level as the Japanese know how to do with their works; you won't see any of that in this anime, unfortunately. In a nutshell, this story can be described as that of a girl who wants to escape from her royal duties and obligations while she is constantly pursued and found by her future husband and heir to the throne. It is normal that many have been disappointed with this work at first because the story does not seem to go beyond the huge palace where our protagonist is confined, but removing these moral and psychological details of the main characters, you can enjoy an entertaining work with a much healthier and funnier humor than that of a simple high school RomCom, to be honest.
On the other hand, we can also encounter certain characters who are somewhat strange and quirky in appearance and personality. It would seem that their unique humor revolves more around seeing failed escape attempts, absurd conversations about how to escape, and characters doing strange and absurd things on a normal day in the royal palace. Not to mention the monologues of the protagonist speaking to the screen as a classic attempt to break the fourth wall -as if it were a TV show-. We must also talk about the visual and technical aspect of this anime that, although it does not have a superior or similar animation quality to the anime with which we started this top, we must also highlight the excellent visual details in terms of character designs, animation style, drawings, striking color palette and remarkable sound effects. The soundtrack, while not one of the best I've heard, is pleasant and sets the mood very well for the emotional and important moments of this anime. Still, it's not a work I would recommend to everyone, obviously.
Personally, I give it a rating of 7/10 as far as the romance and comedy genre is concerned.

Sigamos con otro anime de comedia romántica, pero esta vez ambientado en un mundo medieval ficticio de reyes, duques y realezas. Y por si no fuera suficiente esto, este anime posee una trama e historia un tanto extraña e impredecible de ver para una obra de este tipo. Muy criticada al principio, pero al final digna de ser considerada una obra merecedora de este puesto en este top. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras homónimas escritas por Izumi Sawano e ilustradas por Miru Yumesaki, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio ETM Squared. En ella conocemos la historia de Leticia Dorman, quien es hija de un duque el cual acordó junto con su esposa realizar un compromiso entre ella y el príncipe heredero, Clark a la edad de los 7 años apenas. Desde entonces, ella ha estado confinada en el palacio real donde recibe lecciones frecuentes y educación sin cesar para así convertirse en la ejemplar y futura esposa del príncipe. Sin embargo, lo que nadie tiene en cuenta es que Letty es un espíritu libre y que desea en lo más hondo de su ser escapar de este lugar a toda costa.
Con una premisa como esta es de esperarse que les llame la atención este anime. Sin embargo, desde ya les menciono que no se hagan muchas ilusiones. Siendo un anime Shojo (es decir, dedicado específicamente a un público juvenil femenino), es común que esta obra gire más en torno a una relación amorosa un tanto disfuncional, asfixiante y hasta graciosa de ver. Pero por más que esperen giros de trama increíbles o desarrollos de personajes de tal nivel como saben hacer los japoneses con sus obras; no verán nada de esto en este anime, lamentablemente. En resumidas palabras, se puede describir esta historia como la de una chica que quiere escapar de sus labores y obligaciones reales mientras es perseguida y encontrada constantemente por su futuro esposo y heredero al trono. Es normal que muchos se hayan sentido decepcionados con esta obra al principio debido a que la historia pareciera no ir más allá del enorme palacio donde es confinada nuestra protagonista, pero quitando estos detalles morales y psicológicos de los personajes principales, se puede disfrutar de una obra entretenida y con un humor mucho más sano y divertido que el de un simple RomCom de preparatoria, la verdad.
Por otro lado, también podemos encontrarnos con ciertos personajes un tanto extraños y extravagantes en cuanto a aspecto y a personalidad. Pareciera que su humor único gira más en torno a ver intentos fallidos de escapes, conversaciones absurdas sobre cómo escapar y personajes haciendo cosas extrañas y absurdas en un día normal en el palacio real. Eso sin mencionar los monólogos de la protagonista hablando a la pantalla como un intento clásico de romper la cuarta pared -como si de un show de televisión se tratara-. También hay que hablar del apartado visual y técnico que tiene este anime que, si bien no posee una calidad de animación superior o similar al del anime con el que empezamos este top, hay que destacar igualmente los excelentes detalles visuales en cuanto a diseños de personajes, estilo de animación, dibujos, paleta de colores llamativos y efectos de sonidos destacables. La banda sonora, si bien no es de las mejores que he escuchado, es agradable y ambienta muy bien los momentos emotivos e importantes que tiene este anime. Aún así, no es una obra que le recomendaría a cualquiera, obviamente.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 7/10 en lo que respecta al género de romance y comedia.

Let's talk now about an anime that mixes two of the most popular genres within the industry. That's right, I'm talking about fantasy and romance. Despite being a typical Reverse Isekai with adventures and medieval worlds with magic, creatures and fantastic places; I have decided to place this work in this list dedicated to romance because of its unique story and characters. Based on the series of light novels bearing the same name written by Makishima Suzuki and illustrated by Yappen, this anime adaptation was produced by Zero-G studio. The anime introduces us to Kazuhiro Kitase, a 25-year-old salaryman whose passion is sleeping, that's right, but not just any nap. When he sleeps, our protagonist travels to a fantasy world in which he goes on adventures with his best friend, sorceress and elf Marie. One day, on an adventure exploring the ancient ruins of a lost kingdom, this pair of young adventurers encounter a great dragon. After receiving a huge fire attack from this great monster, Kazuhiro suddenly wakes up as if it had all been a dream. But what our protagonist didn't expect is that right next to him would be his best elf friend asleep in the same bed with him.
I must admit that this plot caught my attention at first, since it is practically a way to travel to a fantasy world very different from what one is usually used to see in Isekai anime where the protagonists are transported or reincarnated unconsciously. In this way we can have in this anime the two planes of life in the fantasy world and the real world at the same time. But the most interesting thing about all this is the potential that the protagonist has to not only travel to that magical world, but also to be able to carry objects from the real world, or in the case you read above, bring beings from the other world to this one in those dreams. With all this in mind, it is normal that the first thing one expects to see in this work is adventure, action or humor as is common in fantasy anime. And although it does manage to offer all this to some extent, what we can see as the main genre is romance. I say this because directly the work is presented as a story of an elf who is sent to the real world thanks to his best friend and companion of adventures.
It is here where this relationship that they both have and we see from the beginning evolves with the passing of the episodes as the elf experiences what it is like to live in Japan; making our protagonist have a different vision of his daily and so far boring life as something special and unique thanks to having an unexpected companion. It's a very fantastic yet exciting way to develop a unique pairing of two different worlds into a tender and magical love story. That's why I quite enjoyed this anime, not seeing it as just another work in the exploited Isekai demographic or fantasy genre. Instead, I saw it as a magnificent romantic story full of exciting, funny and very special moments. On the other hand, we also have to talk about the animation, which although it is not the best there is, let's accept that it offers a level of quality and details that are nice to see. With good character designs, good color palette, excellent visual and sound effects; this anime has what it takes in terms of audiovisuals for all audiences. All in all, this is one anime I would recommend if you like fantasy and romance works.

Hablemos ahora de un anime que mezcla dos de los géneros más populares dentro de la industria. Así es, estoy hablando de la fantasía y el romance. A pesar de ser un típico Isekai Inverso con aventuras y mundos medievales con magia, criaturas y lugares fantásticos; he decidido colocar esta obra en esta lista dedicada al romance debido a su historia y personajes tan singulares. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras que llevan su mismo nombre escritas por Makishima Suzuki e ilustradas por Yappen, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Zero-G. El anime nos presenta a Kazuhiro Kitase, un asalariado de 25 años que tiene como pasión dormir, así es, pero no cualquier siesta. Cuando duerme, nuestro protagonista viaja a un mundo de fantasía en el cual va de aventuras con su mejor amiga, hechicera y elfa Marie. Un día, en una aventura explorando las ruinas antiguas de un reino perdido, este par de jóvenes aventureros se encuentran con un gran dragón. Luego de recibir un enorme ataque de fuego de este gran monstruo, Kazuhiro despierta de repente como si todo hubiera sido un sueño. Pero lo que no se esperaba nuestro protagonista es que justo a su lado estaría su mejor amiga elfa dormida en la misma cama con él.
Debo admitir que esta trama me llamó muchísimo la atención al principio, ya que prácticamente es una forma de viajar a un mundo de fantasía muy diferente a lo que habitualmente uno está acostumbrado ver en animes Isekai donde los protagonistas son transportados o reencarnados inconscientemente. De esta forma podemos tener en este anime los dos planos de la vida en el mundo de fantasía y el mundo real al mismo tiempo. Pero lo más interesante de todo esto es el potencial que tiene el protagonista de no solo viajar a ese mundo mágico, sino de también poder llevar objetos del mundo real, o en el caso que ya leyeron arriba, traer a seres del otro mundo a este en dichos sueños. Con todo esto en cuenta, es normal que lo primero que uno espera ver en esta obra sea aventuras, acción o humor como es común en animes de fantasía. Y aunque sí logra ofrecernos todo esto en cierta medida, lo que podemos ver como género principal es el romance. Esto lo digo ya que directamente la obra se presenta como una historia de una elfa que es enviada al mundo real gracias a su mejor amigo y compañero de aventuras.
Es aquí donde esta relación que ambos tienen y vemos desde el principio evoluciona con el paso de los episodios mientras la elfa experimenta lo que es vivir en Japón; haciendo que nuestro protagonista tenga una visión diferente de su vida diaria y hasta ahora aburrida como algo especial y único gracias a que tiene una inesperada compañía. Es una forma muy fantástica y a la vez emocionante de desarrollar una singular pareja de dos mundos distintos en una tierna y mágica historia de amor. Es por eso que disfruté bastante de este anime, al no verlo solo como una obra más de la explotada demografía Isekai o del género fantasía. Sino que lo ví como una magnífica historia romántica y repleta de momentos emocionantes, divertidos y muy especiales. Por otro lado, también tenemos que hablar de la animación, la cual si bien no es de lo mejor que hay, aceptemos que ofrece un nivel de calidad y detalles que son agradables de ver. Con buenos diseños de personajes, buena paleta de colores, excelentes efectos visuales y de sonido; este anime posee lo necesario en cuanto a lo audiovisual para todo el público. En fin, este sí es un anime que recomendaría si te gustan las obras de fantasía y romance.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8/10 en lo que respecta al género del romance y la fantasía.

Let's continue with another romantic comedy anime, but not just any high school teenager anime (Shōnen), but a slightly more adult and dedicated to an older audience (Seinen). Just like regular RomCom, these types of anime are very common to see every season. Although they are not as popular, they manage to attract the public's attention with interesting and at the same time somewhat real and mature themes. Based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Akumaru Enomoto, this anime adaptation was produced by Blade studio. The story revolves around the life of Masugu Tateishi, an employee and member of the accounting department at Tsuda Confectionery. In his work he occasionally encounters Yui Mitsuya, who is a member of the planning department. She treats him in a derogatory and hostile manner, but when they return home, they communicate and meet to be together since they are a couple... but on the sly. In order to avoid problems or gossip at their workplace, they keep their relationship a secret from the public.
It is not very common to see this kind of anime where the main characters have a relationship on the sly. Of course, it is normal that in every typical romantic comedy anime there are the typical secrets between the protagonist and his dream love, first love or current partner. We see it in the case of the first anime we mentioned in this top, in which we notice a couple of high school students getting married, forced by their grandparents, but before their classmates and other acquaintances they are just acquaintances. And so there are many more works, but what is not common is that such a story tells in such a precise and special way this experience of living a relationship in secret as this one does. That is why this premise is so interesting. Clearly we can notice themes and/or traditions that are very popular in the East, but that here in the West are somewhat difficult to understand. But what we do have clear is the influence generated by gossip and other people's opinions. Now, in a country like Japan where the impression is always the first thing that counts, it is normal that to have a seemingly healthy and stable relationship you have to go through a long process and many transitions. All this is reflected in this work.
However, beyond being a sequence of traumatic or problematic experiences, what we can see throughout this anime are the different facets in which lives a young couple who work in the same place and do not see each other very often. We can also see an excellent development of the characters we meet in this story, with relationships and bonds that leave us very good lessons. What I like about this kind of anime is the very natural and unique way of dealing with such deep and introspective themes regarding love, relationships, secrets, commitment, etc. On the other hand, as for the visual section it must be mentioned that it has a decent animation quality, with good details and drawing style, character designs and color palettes. I also like the sound effects and soundtrack that the anime has. I especially say this because of the Opening, which has a song with a very upbeat and catchy rhythm. Anyway, this is an anime not made for everyone, the truth is.

Sigamos con otro anime de comedia romántica, pero no uno cualquiera de adolescentes de preparatoria (Shōnen), sino de uno un poco más adulto y dedicado a un público mayor (Seinen). Al igual que los RomCom comunes, este tipo de animes es muy común verlos en cada temporada. Si bien no son tan populares, logran llamar la atención del público con temas interesantes y a la vez un tanto reales y maduros. Basada en la serie de manga homónima escrita e ilustrada por Akumaru Enomoto, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Blade. La historia gira en torno a la vida de Masugu Tateishi, un empleado y miembro del departamento de contabilidad de la empresa Tsuda Confectionery. En su trabajo de vez en cuando se encuentra con Yui Mitsuya, quien es miembro del departamento de planificación. Ella lo trata de forma despectiva y hostil, pero cuando regresan a sus casas, se comunican y se encuentran para estar juntos ya que son pareja… pero a escondidas. Con tal de evitar problemas o chismes en su lugar de trabajo, mantienen su relación en secreto ante el público.
No es muy común ver este tipo de animes donde los protagonistas mantienen una relación a escondidas. Claro, es normal que en cada típica obra de comedia romántica haya los típicos secretos entre el protagonista y su amor soñado, primero amor o pareja actual. Lo vemos en el caso del primer anime que mencionamos en este top, en el cual notamos a una pareja de jóvenes de preparatoria casarse a obligadas por sus abuelos, pero que ante sus compañeros y demás conocidos son solo conocidos. Y así hay muchas obras más, pero lo que no es común es que dicha historia relate de manera tan precisa y especial esta experiencia de vivir una relación a escondidas como lo hace esta. Es por eso lo interesante de esta premisa. Claramente podemos notar temas y/o tradiciones que son muy populares en oriente, pero que aquí en occidente nos sea algo difícil de comprender. Pero lo que sí tenemos claro es la influencia que generan los chismes y las opiniones ajenas. Ahora, en un país como Japón donde la impresión es lo primero que cuenta siempre, es normal que para tener una relación aparentemente sana y estable haya que pasar por un largo proceso y muchas transiciones. Todo esto lo vemos reflejado en esta obra.
Sin embargo, más allá de ser una secuencia de vivencias traumáticas o problemáticas, lo que podemos ver a lo largo de este animes son las diferentes facetas en las que vive una pareja de jóvenes que trabajan en un mismo lugar y que no se ven muy seguido. También podemos ver un excelente desarrollo de los personajes que conocemos en esta historia, con relaciones y lazos que nos dejan muy buenas lecciones. Lo que me gusta de este tipo de animes es la forma tan natural y única de tratar temas tan profundos e introspectivos con respecto al amor, las relaciones, los secretos, el compromiso, etc. Por otro lado, en cuanto al apartado visual hay que mencionar que tiene una calidad de animación decente, con buenos detalles y estilo de dibujo, diseños de personajes y paletas de colores. También me gustan los efectos de sonido y la banda sonora que tiene el anime. Sobre todo lo digo por el Opening, que tiene una canción con un ritmo muy animado y llamativo. What makes this anime special from the dozens and dozens of similar works that exist in this industry is both its love story and its unforgettable characters to this day. Based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Maya Muruta, this adaptation was produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by the famous studio J.C.Staff. The anime tells the story of Uka Ishimori, a shy and nervous high school student who until recently suffered from bullying at her previous school. However, at this new public high school she meets Kai Miura, a tall boy with yellow hair that makes him think of a honey and lemon flavored soda. Despite appearing to be someone irresponsible, quiet and rebellious; Kai will help Uka gain more self-confidence as they get to know each other and spend time together.
This is one of those anime that are not at all what they appear to be. Despite its typical premise of the shy protagonist and the popular guy at school (a premise that usually happens in the RomCom genre but with the opposite sexes), this relationship and sequence of experiences we will see are so well done that it's hard not to get excited while watching each episode. Honestly, I confess that it's been a long time since I've been so excited with an anime as I have been with this one. I don't know if it's out of empathy or simply because the way they develop the main character is so pointedly well done that it's hard not to feel affection or compassion in respect. And that's not to mention the valuable lessons that can be learned from this beautiful love story. Topics such as self-confidence, self-love, true friendships, and how to face past problems and traumas with companionship are just a few of the many instances that can be seen in this anime. As for the romance, I must admit that for a Shojo anime, the couple of Uka and Kai is one of the best I've met so far in this industry.
The good thing about this anime is not only how well done the characters are, the story and the lessons we learn from it; but the absence of bad double entendre jokes, typical teenage humor or unnecessary fanservice. A school romance anime without these elements that make them so typical and generic is something to appreciate and value, much more now with so much audiovisual garbage in the industry. On the other hand, we must mention the excellent animation work that this series has. With nothing more than the help of J.C.Staff, it is evident to notice the level of quality in the visual section with excellent character designs, animation style, fluidity, depth, details, color palettes and visual effects with excellently done transitions. As for the soundtrack is also a marvel to hear how they set the mood so well each scenario, every moment of each episode. The Opening is also an audiovisual marvel worthy of appreciating and watching. Yes, this could be the only anime in this whole list that I would recommend to watch and even more if you like young romance.

El anime nos relata la historia de Uka Ishimori, una tímida y nerviosa estudiante de secundaria que hasta hace poco sufrió de abuso escolar en su anterior escuela. Lo bueno de este anime no es solo lo bien hechos que están los personajes, la historia y las lecciones que aprendemos de ella; sino la ausencia de chistes malos de doble sentido, humor adolescente típico o fanservice innecesario. Un anime de romance escolar sin estos elementos que los hacen tan típicos y genéricos es algo de apreciar y valorar, mucho más ahora con tanta basura audiovisual en la industria. Por otro lado, hay que mencionar el excelente trabajo de animación que tiene esta serie. Sin nada más que con la ayuda de J.C.Staff, es evidente notar el nivel de calidad en el apartado visual con excelentes diseños de personajes, estilo de animación, fluidez, profundidad, detalles, paletas de colores y efectos visuales con transiciones excelentemente hechas. En cuanto a la banda sonora es también una maravilla poder escuchar cómo ambientan tan bien cada escenario, cada momento de cada episodio. El Opening que tiene es también una maravilla audiovisual digna de apreciar y ver. Si, este podría ser el único anime de toda esta lista que recomendaría ver y más si te gusta el romance juvenil.
