Hello, anime fans. We're back with another TOP for the start of the year, which will be dedicated to those romance anime that caught my attention in the fall season of 2025. Among the most popular anime in the industry, many are in the romance genre, and each season brings a flood of new series with similar stories. Among so many generic works, it's hard to find a romantic anime that's worth watching. That's why I make these TOP so you can choose without difficulty.
For those who don't know yet, I remind you that in this post you will only find my personal opinion, which I will give after having watched each of the works I will mention below. Each anime will be rated from 1 to 10 at the end. I will start with the lowest-rated title and end with the highest-rated one. Entre tantas obras genéricas, es difícil encontrar algún anime romántico que valga la pena ver. Es por eso que hago este tipo de TOPs para que ustedes puedan escoger sin dificultades.
Para los que aún no saben les recuerdo que en este post solo encontrarán únicamente mi más personal opinión que daré luego de haber visto en emisión cada una de las obras que mencionaré más adelante. Cada anime será calificado del 1 al 10 al final. Empezaré con el título de menor calificación y terminaré con el de mayor calificación. Let's start this TOP with an anime that mixes romantic comedy with science fiction to offer us a fun and somewhat cliché story that may interest more than a few viewers. It's one of those comedic anime that always goes unnoticed due to its low production value or because it's not very eye-catching at first glance. Based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Aki Akimoto, this animated adaptation was produced by Zero-G and Liber. The anime tells the story of Arthur, a young millionaire and misanthrope who distrusts humanity for fear of betrayal. One day, one of his employees brings him an overly realistic robot maid named Marie.
Some may dislike the fact that this anime is included in this TOP list, and I completely understand that. Apart from having a somewhat different premise, the anime has an attractive and entertaining romance story. What makes it special in a way is its natural blend of comedy with romance and action in most scenes. It may not have the best audiovisual production in the world, which is why it's in this position, but it's still a good choice if you like this kind of fun romance to pass the time.

Empecemos este TOP con un anime que mezcla la comedia romántica con la ciencia ficción para ofrecernos una historia divertida y a la vez un tanto cliché que puede llegar a interesar a más de uno. Es de esos animes cómicos que siempre pasan desapercibido por su bajo nivel de producción o por lo poco llamativos que son a simple vista. Basada en la serie de manga homónima escrita e ilustrada por Aki Akimoto, esta adaptación animada fue producida por Zero-G y Liber. El anime nos cuenta la historia de Arthur, un joven millonario y misántropo que desconfía de la humanidad por temor a traición. Un día, uno de sus empleados le trae una robot sirvienta demasiado realista llamada Marie.
Puede que a más de uno le llegue a disgustar el hecho de poner este anime en este lugar del TOP y lo comprendo completamente. Aparte de tener una premisa un tanto diferente, el anime posee una historia de romance atractiva y entretenida a la vez. Lo que lo hace especial de alguna manera es su mezcla natural de comedia con romance y acción en la mayoría de escenas. Puede que no tenga la mejor producción del mundo a nivel audiovisual, lo cual hace que esté en este puesto, pero aún así sigue siendo una buena opción para ver si te gusta este tipo de romances divertidos para pasar el rato nomás.

I should point out that I have nothing against this anime, I just don't think the animation does it justice for the most part. But it's understandable that, being a little-known work with a budget barely above the minimum acceptable level, it has this level of production. Also, being a comedy anime, the studios in charge take advantage of this to rely more on simple animations and effects and little else. On the other hand, there is no denying that when it comes to entertainment, the story and characters also play an important role in capturing the viewer's attention. In the case of this anime, it achieves this with its unparalleled satire and humor.
The anime itself is about a misanthropic young man who welcomes a new maid who is supposed to be a robot. However, what Arthur doesn't know is that Marie is not actually a robot, but a young human girl who has no facial expressions and is a semi-professional fighter. As time goes by, the two go through various situations and problems due to Arthur's enemies, and in the end, they fall in love and all that usual cliché. Despite the jokes, references, and absurd moments, the anime progresses in terms of Marie and Arthur's relationship until its happy ending. Anyway, here's a romantic and funny anime that you might be interested in.

Aviso de antemano que no tengo nada en contra de este anime, solo considero que la animación no me hace justicia en gran parte. Pero es entendible que al ser una obra poco conocida y con un presupuesto apenas similar a lo mínimamente aceptable, tenga ese nivel de producción. También que al ser un anime de comedia, los estudios a cargo se aprovechan de esto para depender más de animaciones y efectos simples y poco más. Por otro lado, no hay que negar que cuando se trata de entretenimiento, la historia y los personajes también tienen su parte importante al momento de captar la atención del espectador. En el caso de este anime lo logra con sus sátiras y humor sin igual.
En sí, el anime trata de un joven misántropo que recibe a una nueva sirvienta que, se supone, es un robot. Sin embargo, lo que Arthur no sabe es que Marie no es en realidad un robot, sino una joven humana que no tiene expresiones faciales y que es una luchadora semi-profesional. Con el paso del tiempo, ambos pasan por diversas situaciones y problemas debido a los enemigos que tiene Arthur y al final se enamoran y todo ese cliché de siempre. A pesar de los chistes, las referencias y los momentos absurdos, el anime avanza en cuanto se trata de la relación que tienen Marie y Arthur hasta su final feliz. En fin, aquí hay un anime romántico y divertido que puede que te interese.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 7.5/10 en lo que respecta al género del romance y la comedia.

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!
We continue with another romance anime, but this time based on a fantasy and medieval story. Despite this, it was one of the most overlooked anime this fall season due to its generic story and characters. Not to mention its low-budget animation quality. Based on the light novel series of the same name written by Kanata Hoshi and illustrated by Peperon, this animated adaptation was produced by Aisha Production. The anime tells the story of Melphiera, the daughter of a count. Having reached marriageable age, she is forced to attend a party in search of a future partner. However, all she can think about is cooking monster meat.
I won't deny that, at first, the anime caught my attention because of its premise. At least in the first episode, I liked seeing a protagonist who is very different from most because she is a fan of monsters and the dishes she can make with them. That's why, when she meets Duke Aristide Rogier du Galbraith, the two begin a relationship that is as random and unexpected as possible. With her fanaticism for monsters, she sees something in the duke that no one else sees, which makes him fall in love with her and later ask for her hand in marriage. The most random thing of all is that she accepts, and in that very first episode, they move in together.

Seguimos con otro anime de romance, pero esta vez basado en una historia fantástica y medieval. A pesar de esto, fue de los animes que más pasaron desapercibido en esta temporada de otoño debido a su historia y personajes genéricos. Eso sin contar también su calidad de animación de bajo presupuesto. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras homónimas escritas por Kanata Hoshi e ilustradas por Peperon, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Aisha Production. El anime nos cuenta la historia de Melphiera quien es la hija de un conde. Al tener la edad para poder casarse es obligada a ir a una fiesta en busca de una futura pareja. Sin embargo, ella solo piensa en cocinar carne de monstruos.
No voy a negar que, al principio, el anime me llamó la atención debido a su premisa. Al menos en el primer episodio me gustó ver a una protagonista que es muy diferente a la mayoría debido a que es una fanática de los monstruos y de los platos que ella puede hacer con ellos. Es por eso que al encontrarse con el duque Aristide Rogier du Galbraith, ambos inician una relación de lo más random e inesperado posible. Ella con su fanatismo por los monstruos ve en el duque algo que nadie más ve, lo cual hace que él se enamore de ella y posteriormente le pida su mano en matrimonio. Lo más random de todo es que acepta y en ese mismo primer episodio se van a vivir juntos.

One would expect a story full of romance, monsters, action, and the like. But let me tell you, that's not what happens in this anime, at least not as you might initially expect. While it has its interesting moments and decent character development among the main characters, I won't deny that it has its shortcomings, which disappoint me a little. To begin with, there's the issue of animation, once again. Being a low-budget production, it's to be expected that the animation doesn't do the work justice. Most of the scenes we see are static shots with little movement and simple visual effects.
But aside from all this, it has the good points we mentioned at the beginning. Apart from its premise, characters, and story, this anime entertains you with its particular style of humor based on funny and absurd scenes. Most of these scenes feature our protagonist demonstrating her fanaticism and love for food made by monsters and the like. It also has interesting details in terms of the story that you learn about throughout the episodes. But what caught my attention the most were the secrets behind Melphiera's power and her research related to monsters. Anyway, here's another romantic and different anime.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8/10 in terms of the romance and fantasy genre.

Uno esperaría una historia repleta de momentos repletos de romance, monstruos, acción y cosas por el estilo. Pero déjame decirte que no sucede esto en este anime, al menos no como tú lo esperabas en un principio. Si bien tiene sus momentos interesantes y un desarrollo decente muy entre los personajes principales, no voy a negar tampoco que tiene sus carencias que me decepcionan un poco. Para empezar, está el tema de la animación, una vez más. Al tener una producción de bajo presupuesto es de esperarse que no tenga una animación que le haga justicia a la obra. La mayoría de escenas que vemos son de planos fijos con poco movimiento y efectos visuales simples.
Pero fuera de todo esto, tiene esos puntos buenos que mencionamos al principio. Aparte de su premisa, personajes e historia; este anime te entretiene con su estilo particular de humor basado en escenas graciosas y absurdas. La mayoría de estas escenas son de nuestra protagonista demostrando su fanatismo y amor por la comida hecha por monstruos y cosas por el estilo. También tiene sus detalles interesantes en cuanto a la historia que uno va conociendo a lo largo de los episodios. Pero lo que más me llamó la atención fueron esos secretos que hay detrás del poder que tiene Melphiera y su investigación relacionada a los monstruos. En fin, aquí les dejo otro anime romántico y diferente.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8/10 en lo que respecta al género de romance y fantasía.

My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me!
Let's talk about another run-of-the-mill RomCom, an anime that attracted some attention this fall season due to its premise and characters. It's one of those generic school romance anime that you can't stop watching once you start. Based on the light novel series of the same name written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Tomari, this animated adaptation was produced by Blade studio. It tells the story of young Akiteru Ōboshi, who is determined to work hard to achieve the future he desires. However, to do so, he has to start a fake relationship with his uncle's daughter, who owns a video game company where Akiteru wants to work after graduation.
I know, I also wonder what the heck people in Japan have with relationships between cousins. It's really another world, but oh well. As much as I detest this type of hormonal teen comedy anime, I can't just stop watching them out of simple habit or interest in knowing what happens next. It's like that drug that, even though it's bad for you, you become obsessed with and find it difficult to give up. That's how RomComs are in my life. No matter how generic the stories are, they always have something that hooks me until I watch them from beginning to end. In this case, it may be the premise or the characters themselves. Although their audiovisual quality also helps a lot.

Hablemos ahora de un RomCom más del montón, un anime que llamó un poco la atención en esta temporada de otoño debido a su premisa y personajes. Es de esos animes de romance escolares genéricos que no puedes dejar de ver luego de empezarlo. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras homónimas escritas por Ghost Mikawa e ilustradas por Tomari, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Blade. Trata de la historia del joven Akiteru Ōboshi, quien está decidido en trabajar duro para conseguir el futuro que desea. Sin embargo, para esto, tiene que empezar una relación falsa con la hija de su tío, el cual tiene una empresa de videojuegos en la que Akiteru desea trabajar luego de graduarse.
Ya sé, yo también me pregunto qué rayos tiene la gente de Japón con las relaciones entre primos. De verdad que es otro mundo, pero bueno. Por mucho que deteste este tipo de animes de comedia de adolescentes hormonales, no puedo simplemente dejar de verlos por simple costumbre o interés de saber qué sucede después. Es como esa droga que, si bien te hace mal, te obsesiona y se te hace difícil abandonarla. Así mismo es el RomCom en mi vida, por muy genéricas que sean las historias, siempre tienen algo que me engancha hasta verla de principio a fin. En este caso puede que sea la premisa o los propios personajes. Aunque también su calidad audiovisual ayuda bastante.

As you read above, the anime is about a high school student who, despite his age, already has a vision of what he wants to achieve in the future and seeks to take the path that best suits him to do so. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he starts pretending to date his cousin, who has trouble socializing and dealing with her new classmates. As if that weren't enough, other members of his team are also going through various problems, and our protagonist will have to figure out how to get out of everything without ruining his long-term goals. I'll tell you right now that Akiteru is one of those protagonists that I like for a very obvious reason.
Unlike most generic protagonists in other RomComs, Akiteru already has a vision of what he will do in the future, and all the decisions he makes revolve around that. That's why, when it comes to relationships, he already has a clear stance and doesn't let himself be influenced by the hints or innuendos that his friends or classmates always give him. Also, each character we see in this anime has their own highlights, as well as personalities and abilities that make them special and interesting. The anime has its good moments, as well as its typical humor and absurd and embarrassing moments. It's similar to any RomCom, so you decide whether to watch it or not.

Como ya leyeron arriba, el anime trata de un estudiante de preparatoria que, a pesar de su edad, ya tiene una visión de lo que quiere lograr en el futuro y busca tomar el camino que mejor le convenga para ello. Sin embargo, su vida dará un giro inesperado cuando empieza a fingir salir con su prima, quien tiene problemas para socializar y tratar a sus nuevos compañeros de clase. Si no fuera suficiente con esto, otros miembros de su equipo también pasan por diversos problemas y nuestro protagonista tendrá que ingeniárselas para salir de todo sin arruinar sus metas a largo plazo. De una les digo que Akiteru es de esos protagonistas que me agradan por una muy obvia razón.
A diferencia de la mayoría de protagonistas genéricos de otros RomCom, Akiteru ya tiene una visión de lo que hará en el futuro y todas las decisiones que toma giran en torno a ello. Es por eso que, en cuanto a lo que se trata de relaciones, él tiene ya una postura clara y no se deja influenciar por las insinuaciones o indirectas que siempre le dan sus amigas o compañeras. También que cada personaje que vemos en este anime tiene sus puntos a destacar, además de poseer personalidades y habilidades que los hacen especiales e interesantes. El anime tiene sus buenos momentos, así como también tiene un humor típico y sus momentos absurdos y vergonzosos. Es parecido a cualquier RomCom, así que tú decidirás si verlo o no.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de romance y comedia.

My Awkward Senpai
We continue with another RomCom anime, but this time it's not about teenagers but young adults (Seinen) who fall in love in a more innocent way than high school students. Because of this, it's not as well known, as these types of stories always go unnoticed. Based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Makoto Kudo, this animated adaptation was produced by Studio Elle. The anime is about the life of Azusa Kannawa, an office worker at a video game development company. She has a reputation for being scary and strict. But when she is assigned a new subordinate, Yū Kamegawa, we begin to learn the truth behind her bitter gaze.
After several years of watching anime, I have developed a certain taste for this type of romantic story between office workers. Whether it's because of its different style of humor or its characters, I always enjoy seeing how a relationship between two employees who work together and treat each other well begins and develops. It should be noted that this type of RomCom is not the same as the one we saw in the previous post. Being a Seinen, the target audience for this type of work is more young adults than teenagers (Shōnen). That is why they are not as well known or popular as school romance anime.

Seguimos con otro anime RomCom, pero esta vez no de adolescentes sino de jóvenes adultos (Seinen) que se enamoran de una manera más inocente que los estudiantes de preparatoria. Debido a esto no es tan conocido ya que este tipo de historias siempre pasan desapercibido. Basada en la serie de manga homónima escrita e ilustrada por Makoto Kudo, esta adaptación animada fue producida por Studio Elle. El anime trata de la vida de Azusa Kannawa, una oficinista de una empresa que desarrolla videojuegos. Ella tiene fama de ser alguien temible y estricta. Pero cuando se le asigna un nuevo subordinado, Yū Kamegawa, iremos conociendo la verdad detrás de amargada mirada.
Luego de ya varios años viendo animes, he desarrollado cierto gusto por este tipo de historias románticas entre oficinistas. Ya sea por su estilo de humor diferente o por sus personajes, siempre me entretiene ver cómo inicia y se desarrolla una relación entre dos empleados que trabajan juntos y se tratan bien. Cabe destacar que este tipo de RomCom no es igual al que hemos visto en el caso del puesto anterior. Al ser un Seinen, el público objetivo de este tipo de obras es más de jóvenes y adultos que de adolescentes (Shōnen). Es por eso que no son tan conocidos o populares como los animes de romances escolares.

In this case, the anime revolves around the daily lives of our protagonists, who work together and face situations common to any office worker. While it resembles a Slice Of Life anime based on what I just said, I must also add that the characters are the main focus of the entire story. Starting with Azusa, who at first glance is attractive, but when dealing with others she can be cold or harsh. However, what almost no one knows is that she is actually clumsy when dealing with others and pretends to have this imposing personality so she can continue going to work and so on.
When she meets Yū, her new subordinate and partner, she begins to change little by little as she tries to be a good teacher and role model for him. This is how the two begin to develop a friendly relationship that gradually evolves into something more as they get to know each other better and spend more time together. Unexpectedly, I found this anime quite entertaining, especially because of its humor and characters. The animation, on the other hand, is decent too. It may not be a big production, but it's not so bad that you can't enjoy it. It has no fanservice, which makes it better than the previous anime on this list. It's fun, cute, and has a protagonist that you're sure to love, so I'll leave this anime here for you to watch.

En este caso, el anime gira en torno a la vida diaria de nuestros protagonistas, quienes trabajan juntos y afrontan situaciones comunes de cualquier oficinista. Si bien se parece a un Slice of Life con lo que les acabo de decir, también tengo que agregar el hecho de que los personajes son el centro principal de toda la historia. Empezando por Azusa, quien a simple vista es atractiva, pero al momento de tratar a los demás llega a ser fría o dura. Sin embargo, lo que casi nadie sabe es que en realidad es una mujer torpe al momento de tratar a los demás y simula esa personalidad imponente para así poder seguir yendo al trabajo y demás.
Cuando conoce a Yū, su nuevo subordinado y compañero, ella empieza a cambiar poco a poco al intentar esforzarse por ser una buena maestra y ejemplo para él. Es así como ambos empiezan a desarrollar una relación amistosa que poco a poco va evolucionando a algo más mientras más se conocen y más se tratan. Sin esperarlo, este anime me entretuvo bastante, sobre todo por su humor y sus personajes. La animación, por otro lado, es decente también. No tendrá una gran producción, pero tampoco es tan malo como para pasar el rato. No tiene fanservice, algo que lo hace mejor que el anime anterior de este top. Es divertido, tierno y tiene a una protagonista que seguramente adorarás, así que ahí te dejo este anime para que lo veas.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género de romance y comedia.

Yano-kun's Ordinary Days
To finish off this TOP, I have another romantic comedy anime set in a school that I personally loved. It's because of gems like this that I never tire of watching RomCom anime every season. And it's no surprise, since these types of stories often go unnoticed due to the huge number of generic stories in this industry. Based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Yui Tamura, this animated adaptation was produced by the studio Aija-do. The anime tells the story of young Tsuyoshi Yano, who always arrives at school covered in bruises and bandages. The class representative, Kiyoko Yoshida, worries about him, especially when she discovers that he is clumsy.
That's right, the best romance anime of this fall season is a teenage romance story between a young man who is clumsy and always gets hurt and a young woman who is always concerned about his well-being. Despite how simple and funny all this may sound, I can assure you that it is a fascinating and quite entertaining story to watch. Apart from this, the relationship we see between Yoshida and Yano is one of the most innocent and tender you will ever see, without exaggeration. It is not like most school RomCom anime, where there is always the hormonal protagonist and female characters who always show more skin than normal.

Para finalizar este TOP, les tengo otro anime de romance y comedia estudiantil que personalmente me encantó. Es debido a joyas como ésta que no me canso de ver animes RomCom en cada temporada. Y no es de extrañar ya que este tipo de historias suelen pasar desapercibidos por la enorme cantidad de historias genéricas que hay en esta industria. Basada en la serie de manga homónima escrita e ilustrada por Yui Tamura, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Aija-do. El anime nos cuenta la historia del joven Tsuyoshi Yano, quien siempre llega a la escuela repleto de moretones y vendajes. La delegada de la clase, Kiyoko Yoshida se preocupa por él y más al descubrir que es torpe.
Así es, el mejor anime de romance de esta temporada de otoño se lo lleva una historia de romance adolescente entre un joven que es torpe y siempre sale lastimado y una joven que se preocupa siempre por su bienestar. A pesar de lo aparentemente simple y gracioso que suene todo esto, les aviso que es una historia fascinante y bastante entretenida de ver. Aparte de esto, la relación que vemos entre Yoshida y Yano es de las más inocentes y tiernas que verás en toda tu vida, sin exagerar. No es como la mayoría de animes RomCom escolares donde siempre está el protagonista hormonal y los personajes femeninos que siempre muestran más piel de lo normal.

There is no fanservice, double entendres, or anything of the sort here. The humor in this anime is as innocent as it gets, mostly related to Yano and his constant struggles to lead a normal school life. We also see how our young couple develops a unique relationship as they reveal truths and secrets about their lives and pasts. Although something that bothers me a little about this anime is how ignorant Yano can be at times. But after thinking a little about everything that has happened to him since he was a child, you come to understand a little why he has a certain mentality.
On the other hand, another detail worth noting about this anime is its audiovisual aspect, which I find very pleasant and simple. The art and animation style, the character designs, the bright and clear color palette, the visual effects, and the details are most noteworthy. You can even notice a certain fluidity in the animation in some scenes or episodes. There are also the sound effects and the soundtrack, which are well added, especially in funny moments or emotional scenes. This anime may not have one of the best school romance stories out there, but I can assure you that it is one of the most fun and entertaining ones.

Aquí no hay ni fanservice ni chistes de doble sentido ni nada por el estilo. El humor que se maneja en este anime es de lo más inocente que hay, mayormente relacionado a Yano y sus constantes problemas con intentar tener una vida escolar común y corriente. Vemos también cómo nuestra joven pareja va desarrollando una relación única al revelarse verdades y secretos de sus vidas y sus pasados. Aunque algo que me molesta un poco de este anime es lo ignorante que llega a ser Yano en varios momentos. Pero luego de pensar un poco en todo lo que ha pasado desde pequeño se llega a comprender un poco el por qué tiene cierta mentalidad.
Por otro lado, otro detalle a destacar de este anime es un apartado audiovisual, el cual es a mí parecer muy agradable y sencilla. El estilo de arte y animación, los diseños de los personajes, la paleta de colores claros y brillantes, los efectos visuales y los detalles son de lo más destacable. Incluso se puede notar cierta fluidez en la animación en algunas escenas o episodios. Ohhhh, you gave a high rating for My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me!, I saw this somewhere but haven't tried watching it. I will try episode 1 of this later. I already got a glimpse of Pass the Monster Meat, Milady episode 1 but I couldn't get into it. I will give it a try again later. And the rest I haven't saw them in my feeds yet 🤔🤔. I'll try to look into them later too.
Yeah, well, that anime isn't that great, but it has its moments. I mostly base my ratings on how much I enjoyed or was entertained by an anime. That's why I'm starting with the ones I liked the least, like the ones you mentioned.
I usually recommend the last two anime on my top lists because they're the ones I've enjoyed watching the most. I hope you like them too.

Wait, wait, wait, Yano-kun's Ordinary Days is completed? I felt like it just recently got aired...like somewhere in September or October, perhaps? I thought it was still airing, huhu...I've been anticipating it to end to binge-watch it. The reel that I watched in my feed last year really convinced me that it would be a nice romance anime. Also, its art style and vibes remind me so much of Skip and Loafer, so I vowed to really give it a shot. Maybe this is my sign to insert it in this month's to-watch list.

Hehehe, yes, it's finished. Normally, this type of romance anime only lasts about 12 episodes aired during a whole season (three months), which was from October to December of last year, that is, the fall season. And yes, the art and animation are quite pleasing to the eye, and that was one of the many positive aspects of this anime. I hope you get a chance to watch it and enjoy it too.
