RE: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and its latest show of incompetence.

Asking Oscar jury members to watch all the nominated films before voting is like telling an adult they should eat before deciding whether a dish is good or not. Both cases are absurdly obvious by logic, but at the same time they become necessary due to the great negligence and selfishness that exists in today's society. Many of the members are likely people who claim to always be right and that what they say is the law even when they are wrong. Those of us who have been around for a certain number of years have met people like this in our daily environment, so it is more than normal that the case is the same within industries as large and important as it is the academy. But this still doesn't take away from the fact that making this news public is both absurd and humiliating and indecent. That's the case for the Academy itself, but for those affected by previous nominations throughout the century, it's a harsh blow from reality and human delusion.
Good post.
