The way it builds characters so real and deals with such delicate issues as the loss of a loved one is so excellent that it is no exaggeration to say that this is one of the best anime I have seen last year. It is true that the drama genre is not one that is exploited too much in this industry, but when works of this style are released it is normal that they have a certain demand and at the same time very little attraction from the general public due to the themes they deal with, which are obviously not for everyone. That is why the Seinen demographic is not as popular as Shōnen nowadays. However, as a lover of good works myself, it is a pleasure for me to be able to enjoy any kind of story, depending on how well done it is or not.

Although it is something delicate, it is common to know a case related to the loss of a loved one in our lives (that is, if it is not oneself who has suffered such experience). What we know of this we can only mention that it is one of the most heartbreaking and strongest experiences that the human being can live. This easily puts us in the shoes of the Niijima family, who both the father and now widower Keisuke and his daughter Mai have had a long period of mourning that affected them in many aspects of their lives.

En cuanto a este anime en particular, su historia empieza de forma muy fuerte con la terrible pérdida de una gran esposa y madre de una familia feliz como lo son los Niijima. Luego de un largo duelo de diez años, un inesperado milagro aparece en frente de su casa: una niña de preescolar dice ser su fallecida esposa y madre. Ella les demuestra esto al contarles sucesos que solo ellos recuerdan, lo cual los hace quitarse poco a poco la duda de si lo que dice es verdad o no. Sin embargo, entre tantas historias relacionadas a reencarnaciones, apariciones o reencuentros; este anime en particular es de los más especiales que existen ya que se centra más en contarnos una historia única y a la vez muy familiar para todos nosotros. Si bien es algo delicado, es común conocer algún caso relacionado a la pérdida de un ser querido en nuestras vidas (eso si no es uno mismo quien ha padecido dicha experiencia). Lo que sabemos de esto solo podemos mencionar que es una de las experiencias más desgarradoras y fuertes que el ser humano puede llegar a vivir. Esto nos pone fácilmente en los zapatos de la familia Niijima, quienes tanto el padre y ahora viudo Keisuke como también su hija Mai han tenido una larga temporada de duelo que los afectó bastante en muchos aspectos de sus vidas.

La animación está bien, sin mucho que agregar ya que no es una obra maestra como un gran estudio de animación lograría producir, pero tampoco está tan mal como para pasar de largo. En resumen, está bien y es disfrutable el nivel de calidad, detalles, fluidez, transiciones, paleta de colores y efectos visuales prácticos que tiene este anime. La forma de ambientar perfectamente los escenarios con cambios de tono y colores es también algo que me gusta mucho. Los efectos de sonido están bien hechos, aunque no se destacan demasiado. La banda sonora es excelente, logrando transmitir las emociones que posee cada episodio. El Opening y Ending son agradables de ver, muy animados, pero no tanto para que sean mis favoritos. En resumen, este anime es perfecto para todo amante del drama, historias maravillosas y a la vez bastante emotivas.

Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género del drama y la comedia.
