The fair days have been active for two weeks in our municipality of Cabimas. We really haven't experienced so many days of festivities and activities in commemoration of the Virgin of the Rosary. The truth is that many of these activities are part of the fair's traditions, especially the livestock exhibition, which was lost for many years.
Personally, I am moved by these exhibitions. They bring animals from different parts of the eastern coast, breeds I had never seen before that are now part of the dual-purpose livestock on many farms in the area.
Huge buffaloes with beautiful black fur, as well as some giant humped cows that caught the attention of the people who went to the park where they were kept.
Horses of all sizes, many other types of cows, bulls—all of these animals represented a brand or farm.
Despite the number of people who were there, wanting to touch them and take pictures, these animals They behaved well and didn't become aggressive. On the contrary, some children were touching them. Apparently, the animals were calm and didn't seem restless, which usually happens because they're not used to these settings.
These are traditions that had been lost. I've even participated in many of these exhibitions in other municipalities because I like them, but here in Cabimas, they hadn't been held for years. Now that they've returned, I couldn't miss the opportunity to see these impressive animals, even well cared for.
Traditions, whether family, personal, work-related, or community-related, shouldn't be lost when they have meaning. In this case, the livestock exhibitions at the fair don't depend on us, but now that they're back, we enjoy every experience. The best thing is to share these experiences as a family 🫂.

Los días de feria se activaron desde hace quince días en nuestro municipio Cabimas, realmente no habíamos vivido tantos días de fiestas y actividades en conmemoración de la Virgen del Rosario. Lo cierto es que muchas de estás actividades forman parte de las tradiciones de feria, en especial la exhibición ganadera que estuvo perdida durante muchos años.
En lo personal me emocionan éstas exhibiciones, traen animales de diferentes partes de la costa oriental, razas que nunca había visto que forman parte ahora del ganado doble propósito de muchas fincas de la zona.
Búfalos grandísimos, tenían un pelaje negro precioso, igual unas gigantes vacas con joroba que llamaban mucho la atención de las personas que fueron al parque donde las tenían.
Caballos de todos tamaños, muchos otros tipos de vacas, toros, todos estos animales representaban una marca o fincas.
Estos animales a pesar de la cantidad de personas que habían, queriendo tocarlos, tomándose fotografías, se portaron bien, no se pusieron agresivos, al contrario, algunos niños estuvieron tocando los, aparentemente los animales estaban tranquilos, no se veían inquietos, cosa que suele suceder porque no están acostumbrados a estos escenarios.
Estás son tradiciones que se habían perdido, incluso he participado en muchas de estas exhibiciones en otros municipios porque me gustan, pero aquí en Cabimas tenían años sin hacerlas, ahora que regresaron no podía perder la oportunidad de ver a estos animales tan imponentes, incluso bien cuidados.
Las tradiciones sean familiares, personales, laborales o comunitarias no se tienen que perder cuando gozan de significado. En éste caso, las exhibiciones ganaderas de feria no dependen de nosotros pero ahora que regresaron disfrutamos de cada experiencia. Lo mejor es compartir estás experiencias en familia 🫂.
