Visiting the weekly traditional market

Greetings!
Happy Saturday from my current place. May everyone here be blessed and always have pleasant and memorable days in your life.

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to visit one of the weekly traditional markets in a village. Which market only exists once a week and is located in several different villages with different days. The traders will move from one location to another for the next day. Generally, these traders come from various other villages and there are also local traders from the village where this traditional market is opened for that day.

This is common and seems to have become a tradition here. Although modern markets are quite easy to find in today's era. In addition, the enthusiasm of buyers in this weekly traditional market has remained normal since long ago and has even increased. Of course, this is not without reason. In terms of price, the goods offered in this market are cheaper, new and also of good quality.

Some of the buyers are from that village and some even come from several other villages that can still be reached in a short time.

I saw that there were various kinds of goods for sale. Starting from clothes, vegetables, fresh fruits, spices to decorations and many others. All the goods offered came directly from local farmers and craftsmen.

I noticed, since morning local farmers brought their garden produce to sell to traditional market traders, such as spices, vegetables and fruits, but there were also some foreign products such as clothes for example. However, traders can still sell them at affordable prices.

The excitement is very visible in this market. Generally, buyers are housewives. If I pay attention, they buy various necessities in this market in sufficient quantities for a week until next week when the market reopens here.

For certain times, this market is even very crowded with buyers, for example before cultural celebrations, customs and other big days.

I will add a little about the discussion related to celebrating big days here. Since long ago and from generation to generation, in our place there have been many big day celebrations. For example, Eid celebrations. Traditionally here, before the important day people are busy preparing everything, especially basic necessities, usually because on the big day people prepare food that is served both for family and guests who come. Various kinds of dishes are prepared and it has become very cultural.

Because of that, before the big day the traditional market is usually very crowded with buyers, because people shop for all their needs and in large quantities at very affordable prices.

I was very impressed to see the excitement of this traditional market, friendly traders and enthusiastic buyers, so I intend to capture some photos to share in the post.

That's all for now, and in the next opportunity of course I will share about other things here for all of you. See you.

Thanks for Reading
