Trametes ochracea
Trametes ochracea is a species of fungus in the family Polyporaceae. It is a fungus that includes 660 species. According to what I read. This species of fungus is very numerous and diverse with its various uniqueness. This makes it even more interesting to observe and study.
I found this fungus growing in groups on dead tree trunks. Sometimes we can find it in very large numbers during the rainy season.
From my observations. This fungus has a slightly hard texture and is quite strongly attached to the medium in which it grows. There are like fine hairs on the body of this fungus. Usually, this fungus is fan-shaped and can grow to a larger size. Likewise with its color. This fungus has various colors.
The growing medium is on dead wood. But there are also some that grow on living tree trunks in humid temperature conditions or in forests with high humidity intensity.
![]() | iNaturalist is a citizen science platform and online social network that allows users to record and share observations about biodiversity, as well as assist in species identification. The platform allows users to upload photos or videos of plants, animals, and other organisms, which can then be identified by a community of other users. In addition, iNaturalist also has an automatic identification feature that uses computer vision to help identify species. |
