Pink Cup and Ear Mushroom

Happy Friday, and warm greetings to everyone here. I hope today is a lucky Friday for me and all of you.

It's great to be able to share in this community, about interesting findings in nature. Yes, mushrooms. Something that never gets boring and never ends to be discussed because of its diversity and uniqueness which are many and of course also interesting.

Now I share about two types of mushrooms that I found in today's mushroom hunting. Two types, two colors and two different uniqueness. And this is my contribution to #fungifriday which is organized and quratoried by @ewkaw.

First we will see and recognize this bright white mushroom. Crepidotus versutus or we usually call it oyster mushroom. This mushroom grows on rotting wood and usually grows in large quantities. If the weather rains for a few days in a row, this mushroom will grow well, and this mushroom is one of the types that is easy to grow.

In terms of texture, this mushroom is very flexible with a dominant shape that is wide like a blond and there are slices along the plate. I have found this mushroom with a slightly blackish brown color. This mushroom can also be consumed and has a delicious taste.

The second one. This is unique, interesting and beautiful. Pink cup mushroom. It has a shape like a cup with a handle and a beautiful pink color. The lip of the cup is covered with fine hairs that beautify its appearance.

In scientific terms, this fungus is called Cookeina. It is a genus of cup fungi in the family Sarcoscyphaceae, whose members can be found in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. This species can be found on fallen branches of angiosperm plants, tree trunks, and sometimes on fruit.source

I found it growing on wood that wasn't too rotten, meaning, this type of fungus can grow on wood that is a little harder. I have also found this mushroom with a faded yellow color with the same shape and appearance.

Those are the two types of mushrooms that I found in my hunt today, two interesting types of mushrooms and both of them are worth sharing for all mushroom lovers. I present these two mushroom photos in macro view using a smartphone camera and the help of a 100 mm macro lens.

that's all for this week, and of course I will share again here about unique and interesting mushrooms next week. See you.

Thanks for Reading

The two types of mushrooms you found are beautiful, although the second species is the most striking.

Have a beautiful day.
