Grey Moth
Greetings!
Hello everyone!. Nice to greet you back here in the nature observer community. I just published an interesting finding that I managed to observe today, May 14, 2025, and I have added it to my observations in the iNaturalist community.
Sugarcane looper is one type of animal species from the *Erabidae or moth family that is physically almost similar to a butterfly.
This species of animal is still quite common here, they are flower and fruit nectar eaters and suckers. In agricultural crops such as young plants, farmers often consider these animals as pests.
This moth species also has various types, such as the lower wing moth, the tiger moth litter moth and the wasp moth.
Based on the results of observations. On the body of this moth there is a very fine flour powder, when touched they will flap their wings and spray flour from their bodies, this is as a deterrent to incoming prey or a sign of danger.
That is my discovery and observation result on one of the moth species on May 14, 2025.
I often find this insect, but I always fail to photograph it.
Yes you are right, He's a bit wild and hard to photograph, a little movement and he flies :)
Very interesting butterfly my friend, I really enjoyed it 😘
I know, he's really attractive :)
Thank you for coming to my post :)
