Genus Microporus

I found this trumpet-shaped mushroom growing on a tree branch, this one looks very much like a trumpet.Its Latin name is Microporus. However, there are many types of this fungus, with different shapes, colors and sizes.

Microporous fungi are also plate-shaped and there are also those called ear fungi that do not have long stems. This one is similar to a trumpet with a longer stem. It makes it look unique and interesting.
