Saludos queridos amigos de #CineTV. El viernes vi junto a mi muñeco adorado esta película animada de Disney que se estrenó hace poco. Se trata de Elio. Y hasta el momento no entiendo por qué casi nadie ha hablado de ella si es una película hermosa. A nosotros nos gustó mucho.

Greetings, dear friends of #CineTV. On Friday, I watched this recently released Disney animated film with my beloved doll. It's called Elio. And so far, I don't understand why almost no one has talked about it since it's such a beautiful film. We really liked it.

Elio es un niño diferente a los demás, ha sufrido una pérdida enorme a muy temprana edad y esto sin duda ha cambiado su mundo. Sus padres fallecieron y quien se vuelve su tutora legal es su tía. Sin embargo, él se siente desubicado en la tierra y desde la pérdida de sus padres, se obsecionó con la vida extraterrestre.

Elio is a child unlike any other. He suffered a tremendous loss at a very young age, and this has undoubtedly changed his world. His parents passed away, and his aunt became his legal guardian. However, he feels out of place on Earth, and since the loss of his parents, he has become obsessed with extraterrestrial life.

Antes de ver esta película, ya habia capturado mi interés porque te muestran a este niño interesado por la vida en otros planetas, y busca insistir tanto para que una de estas naves espaciales venga a buscarlo y tanto insitió que lo hicieron. Pero, cuando al fin logré verla, la trama fue diferente a lo que me esperaba.

Before seeing this movie, it had already captured my interest because it shows this boy interested in life on other planets, and he insists so much that one of these spaceships comes to get him, and he insisted so much that they did. But when I finally got around to watching it, the plot was different from what I expected.

Elio busca un escape de su mundo porque ya no tolera estar sin sus padres, tampoco quiere darle problemas a su tia y se siente poco apreciado. Así que busca vidas de otros mundos para ver si hay algún lugar para él allá afuera, en el que se sienta apreciado y amado como lo hicieron sentir sus padres.

Elio seeks an escape from his world because he can no longer tolerate being without his parents, he doesn't want to cause problems for his aunt, and he feels unappreciated. So he seeks out other worlds to see if there's a place for him out there, where he can feel appreciated and loved like his parents made him feel.

Esta película te hace ponerte en el lugar de este niño. Viendo el mundo a través de sus ojos sin entender a los adultos. Me recordó mucho a cuando era pequeña y mi mamá hacía cosas que yo no entendía o que yo hacía y luego ella se molestaba y la escuchaba hablar decepcionada de mi.

This movie makes you put yourself in this child's shoes. Seeing the world through his eyes without understanding the adults. It reminded me a lot of when I was little and my mom would do things I didn't understand or that I did, and then she would get upset and I would listen to her speak disappointedly of me.

Así que de alguna forma conectas con Elio y si no lo haces con él, conectarás con su tía o con su mejor amigo extraterrestre. A mi hijo le encantó Glordon, decía que le provocaba abrazarlo como lo hacía Elio. También se identificó con él por su personalidad, todo o veía a su manera y en este caso, extraña a su papi de vez en cuando.

So, in some way, you connect with Elio, and if you don't connect with him, you'll connect with his aunt or his alien best friend. My son loved Glordon, saying he wanted to hug him like Elio did. He also identified with him because of his personality; he saw everything his way, and in this case, he misses his daddy from time to time.

Y armando este post noté que tiene muchas críticas negativas. Hablan de que la trama es predecible, que Disney no hizo mucha publicidad, que trabajaron muy mal los de Pixar y pare usted de contar. Yo por mi parte puedo decir que la película es encantadora. Tiene magia y potencial para disfrutarse en familia.

And while putting this post together, I noticed it has a lot of negative reviews. They say the plot is predictable, that Disney didn't do much advertising, that Pixar did a terrible job, and so on. For my part, I can say the film is charming. It has magic and potential for family enjoyment.

Y lo más importante es que te explican de manera muy sencilla el significado de la amistad. Sin importar los colores ni el género, incluso la especie (en este caso porque Glordon es un extraterrestre). Cada niño es especial a su manera y sólo quiere una cosa, un amigo verdadero con quien divertirse y pasarla bien.

And most importantly, they explain the meaning of friendship in a very simple way. It doesn't matter what color or gender you choose, or even what species you choose (in this case, because Glordon is an alien). Every child is special in their own way and only wants one thing: a true friend to have fun with.

Yo doy gracias a Dios porque mi hijo ha sabido hacer amistades muy lindas, tan lindas como la de esta película. Y dentro de todo, la película para mí tiene magia por los efectos estelares y los muchos colores y formas que habían en otros planetas, todo era extraño y divertido. Así que no te dejes llevar por las malas críticas y dale una oportunidad. Estoy segura de que te gustará. Hasta mi próximo post, saludos!

I thank God that my son has made wonderful friendships, as wonderful as the one in this movie. And all in all, the movie has magic for me, thanks to the star effects and the many colors and shapes that existed on other planets; everything was strange and fun. So don't let the bad reviews put you off and give it a chance. I'm sure you'll like it. See you in my next post!
