KISS BLOG IDEAS: WEEK #179/ Basics: comfortable and versatile

Basics: comfortable and versatile

I think that if there is something that speaks about women, it is their wardrobe. Every garment, whether we like it or not, conveys a message about who we are, what we want, and even what we lack. Because a closet can be packed with clothes because the owner of all that clothing may feel an inner emptiness that they try to fill with shopping.

Since I was very young, I have liked fashion, and there was a time when I would buy according to trends. But today, far from that consumerist mindset, I prefer to buy and wear garments that last more than one season or month, of good quality, and also ones that make me feel comfortable and are not truly problematic to wear. Sometimes, I even prefer quality over quantity, even if quality means paying a few extra dollars.
What I have the most in my closet are dresses: short and long, printed and solid-colored, party and summer dresses, but all of them are comfortable. For me, comfort is essential. I don't like wearing garments that make me feel uncomfortable or out of place. Dresses are timeless pieces and easy to combine, not to mention that for the hot weather in my city, they are perfect.

Another of the garments are the pants: I have three or four pairs of jeans, and two black pants. I combine these pants, in different styles, according to the occasion, with light or elegant blouses. I try to ensure that the pants, as well as most of the other garments, are not made of fabrics that require ironing or special washing cycles

Lastly, there are the blouses and t-shirts, which compared to the other garments, I have in greater number and variety. Just as my black pants and black dress are essential, my white blouse is also a staple. White blouses have the advantage not only of being able to be paired with anything, but also of being very elegant and always adding a chic touch.

I have jackets, shoes, and handbags in small quantities. For a while now, I have opted for colors like black, brown, or nude for these items to avoid going overboard. For example, a dress changes completely if I put a neutral-colored blazer or a jacket on top, whether it's denim or leather. The same goes for footwear: for an informal event, I wear my sneakers or loafers, and for a special event: sandals or high heels.

In short, if I had to choose some clothing items to make my perfect wardrobe, I would take a jacket, two pairs of pants, one pair of jeans and one black pair; several cotton blouses and two dresses, one short and one long, fresh and light. Remember, the idea is not to copy fashions, but to create our own style.

En cuestiones de modas las mujeres siempre resuelve con lo que tiene
It's not a lie! The idea is not to have a lot, but to make do with what little you have. Be creative. Best regards.
Lately, I've been loving the "basics". I used to be a person who liked prints and specific, elaborate models. Now I get excited about a simple black shirt, you know? So much more opportunity!
The same thing happens to me. Recently, I discovered that I have a lot of beige and white clothes. They are easier to match, and you always look pretty and well-dressed in those colors. Hugs
Create your own style ... Well I can safely say you created the Nancy style :) It is always far more creative to mix and match I think. I am mixing up a super hug for you now
A jacket or coat hug to keep you warm, Ed!🫂
