I often feel like I have nothing to say, which I feel is sometimes a negative thing. Because I want to engage with people. But I just have no thoughts to add, so I sit in silence. Sometimes happens with Hive to. I can enjoy or even love a post, but I just have nothing to add to it and just vote and leave. ;^)

I can't even offer any words of encouragement and how sometimes even a comment that you decide not to post because it feels pointless might mean a lot to the recipient as I do the same thing especially when half dead after work x_x
I figure at the very least you let people know you're reading them? XD
I often have that feeling that a forced comment will look forced and seem rude. So I try to avoid giving off that feeling if I genuinely feel I have nothing to say
Oh yeh when genuinely having nothing to say I will upvote and run as well.
I don't have this problem so much here on hive but on other online communities I've been on previously I would also just ignore people that I know would pitch a fit both if they got no comments or if they got the "wrong" type of comment
I was more thinking of other situations (too tired/busy etc) I'll usually try to say something anyway even if it's not optimally stated as the chances of me ever having a more ideal state to comment in is slim to none.

I prefer a genuine silence over a bot comment. But that little like is very much appreciated.
You have no idea how many times I have written and entire comment only to edit it again and again and finally deciding not to comment any.
