Monomad: Young Crickets

IMG_20250525_114025.jpg

These are young crickets with other names, nymphs. I say young crickets because their bodies are still small, brown, reddish like beautiful baby skin. In general, crickets are herbivores such as young leaf shoots, but in some studies, crickets also eat other small insects.

Crickets are also famous for their loud voices. The sound is usually made by male crickets to mark an area of their territory, and also to attract the attention of females. The most threatening thing to the lives of crickets are birds that roam around because crickets will be their target. It seems that crickets are indeed on the favorite menu list for a flock of birds. So be careful, crickets!
