Monomad: Floating Huts and Traditional Nets

Krueng Cunda River is located in the middle of Lhokseumawe city, Aceh, Sumatra. This river flows into the Malacca Strait, where ships pass through the sea. I took this photo on May 22, 2025 when the sun was not so hot. A wooden building and traditional nets are visible. The nets were lifted up and then looked like they were being dried.

There are floating huts and several traditional nets along the Cunda River, including the nets that I managed to shoot. Several fishermen in this area use traditional nets to catch fish, shrimp and other types of fish. When the sea water rises, that's where the traditional fishermen lower their nets into the river.
