Monomad: Caterpillars
Caterpillars are unique insects with a unique protective barrier. This protection comes from the hairs that grow all over their bodies. These hairs come in a variety of colors, while the caterpillar's body itself has its own unique color pattern. The colors on the caterpillar's hairs become iconic.
Furthermore, these animals are known as true herbivores, meaning they eat leaves. Most of these caterpillars are found in trees. They eat nothing but leaves, after which they undergo metamorphosis into butterflies. This caterpillar is actually a small caterpillar, but I took this photo with a 12mm macro lens. This allows for a closer look.

Wow,the species of insect in the form of a caterpillar that you found is very terrifying, yet looks very spectacular my friend.
How curious it is to see the large amount of hair that some caterpillars tend to have, simply warning us to be careful with them. Excellent photos!
Wow beautiful shots
As always, you do an excellent job with insect photography, it's wonderful and interesting.
Wow! @naisfreedom I have never seen a caterpillar as hairy as this one caught in your lens. The view is really amazing and intriguing as well.
At first I thought it was a wooding capture, until I flipped and saw more of the images from another perspective, seeing the caterpillar on a tree in black and white is definitely a beautiful view.
Thanks for sharing.
My warm regards.
