Fungifriday | Mushrooms at the End of the Year

This year the calendar is already on the cusp of its date, the twelve leaves of the counting paper will soon be thrown into the trash. There is always anxiety every time the year changes, every time a single calendar leaf falls off, the hair on the head turns white. The turn of the year in old age is no longer something to look forward to, something to celebrate, everything becomes bland as the forehead and skin on the face wrinkle. And today's date will continue to be replaced by tomorrow's date, and I am still in my chaotic life.

This year is leaving soon, just a matter of days. I don't want anything else in this life that isn't very auspicious, no more trumpet sounds that I want to hear, the sound of people's applause that covers the loneliness and the birthday cake that tastes bland.

That afternoon I stood staring at the rows of yellow mushrooms, their umbrellas resembling birthday cakes, age being a frightening specter in the twilight and a long way to go. The rows of yellow mushrooms like her will be a beautiful gift in the new year, for the people I admire, those who are always sincere through the calendar that almost died at the end of the task. Thank you to @ewkaw who accompanied me on my beautiful days throughout the year. You are a strong friend who transcends the boundaries of a curator's duties, thank you for everything, especially for #FungiFriday that together we care for, we water so that it always grows and smells good.
