Visiting the Meher Baba Shrine
Two days back I mentioned about the Spiritual retreat of Meher Baba and shared some pictures about my stay experience in the place. Here there is the Shrine of Meher Baba, where he laid his last breadth. The place is spread out over acres of land, and there are many stay arrangements from retreat rooms to dormitory rooms. Everything is very reasonably priced, rather I can say very cheaply priced, in this time when most of the spiritual retreats are all becoming a money making business it is impossible to believe that such a place also still exist.
Normally my routine here is, I reach by early morning. I take the night train from Mumbai and reach by 6.30 a.m. After that settle down in the room allotted to me, rest up a bit, get fresh and then proceed to the Shrine. I like to go during the day time when there are not many people. In the evening time, there is a prayer gathering and suddenly from nowhere you will see the place completely full. During day time it's very quiet and peaceful and also no disturbance during meditation at the shrine. Evening time with the crowd it's not possible to sit in the shrine for more than a minute. But during day time, I can sit as long as I want.
This is the Shrine, the way it is made one can understand the simplicity of this place.

And this is how it is in the evening during the prayer meet time

There were some event plan for the next day, the preparations are going on for that. I am sure there would be lot of people attending it.

He was a dog lover, these are the tombs of his pets and some of his disciples who were with him till his last breadth

I like to come here at the end of the year to seek blessings of Baba for the New Year and to offer my Gratitude for all the good things that I have in my life.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
