The Lara beach is one of the longest beaches in Antalya. Out hotel was very close to the beach, it was a 10 minutes walking. At the time of check-in, I was very disappointed with the agent because I wanted something near the beach and some people I had met on the tour, their hotels were near the beach with them getting private beach access. My agent did not even know that in this area where he had booked the hotel for us there was a beach. The agent is from Muscat so I am sure he does not know about these finer details of the place. It was then the next day our tour guide told us that there was a beach at a walking distance from our hotel and I was so excited with that. Antalya beaches are super cool.

This Lara beach is supposed to be one of the best ones and it's known for its soft golden sands and clear turquoise waters. It also has a Blue Flag status, which means it meets stringent environmental, safety, and accessibility criteria. This is some new information for me, I was not aware that the beaches have this Blue Flag status.

On the last day I had not planned any sight-seeing, it was a leisure day. Our flight from Antalya to Istanbul was late evening and we had to leave from our hotel at 5 p.m. so I had almost the day at hand. Morning, I finished all the packing and then headed to the beach, it was a nice clear sunny day, the previous day weather was not very good and it was raining throughout the day. The beach was not crowded, I spent some couple of hours at the beach, took a nice long stroll and then returned back to my hotel with some shopping on the way.

If this was India, it would have been packed with people. Even in Oman we have some beautiful beaches as good as this one and some even better then this.

I walked on the beach but did not get in to the water, I was not wanting to get messy because I had already checked out from the hotel before coming to the beach so then taking bath again was a problem.

If I had no flight that day, I would have loved to do that, lie down on the beach and soak up the sun.

This is what we do in Oman also, we carry our things and then have a nice leisure time at the beach.

I would have loved if the hotel was beach facing and they had their private access to it, but then to an extent this was also good and at least I could get some feel of it.
