Visit to the City Mall
This is one of my favorite places to buy anything I need. As such these days most of the shopping I do online as it saves my time. This place is not only famous for shopping but it also has a range of restaurants offering variety of cuisine. With some friends I had planned an evening to visit the mall and then have dinner at any of the restaurants there. There was no shopping plan as such. There are times when I come here just for a cup of Tea and stroll around. These days I do not have the liberty to do that as my schedule is so packed that there is not much of leisure time. Though late evenings I do catch up with my friends and we go to some or the other place either for dinner or to just hang out.
The attractive part of this Mall is that every few months they change the full decor of this place and every-time there is a new theme. I have shared some of them in my earlier blogs also. This time it was about nature and birds.
That's a very attractive center piece.
The restaurant we selected for Dinner is called Ishara. Ishara in Hindi means sign language. The unique thing about this place is that majority of the staff here either have a speech or a visibility challenge. The interactions here are done by sign language.
On the menu, for every dish there is a hand sign given, You can do that and place your order. It's a very good concept and I believe that more and more restaurants and even other businesses should support such initiatives. Such places make it easier for both the customers and the staff to communicate with ease despite of the challenges. People with physical challenges do face problems in getting jobs, but ideally, they can be resolved easily with a little extra thought, like how this place has come up with a very good way of taking care of their customers and at the same time giving jobs.
We had a hearty meal.
After the meal we went to the courtyard, where again there is always some set up with a theme. This theme is different then the mall theme, and here the theme they were dance and music.

From the ambiance you can see that this is a place where one can come and just hang out, there are ample of food joints, shopping outlets, and a cinema hall also. It's a one stop destination for entertainment and family outings. It was a very pleasant evening spent with hubby and friends.

It is interesting when you have elements that enhance the shopping mall's experience with status, etc...

Such a nice place with unique decorations.
I have visited one company in Pune where they have specific section which offers the job for special persons. The offers specific bus service also for them, they have taken it as social responsibility.
That is such a good way of encouraging and promoting work for everyone and boosting and inclusive environment.

I assume that all this decor must be funded by all the shops that are there in this place and then of course the management of this mall must be also contributing. These are like company things not owned and done by one office
That center piece statue is really wonderful. I like the current theme of the place, it's light(not heavy) and welcoming. Definitely a place to visit every few months and check out the different parts of the place.

Every quarter they change the theme and I really like the brain of the one who comes up with these unique themes.

Honestly I do not know what does that hand symbolize and there was nothing mentioned. To me it looks more like a Torch bearer, the one carries it brings truth, knowledge and enlightenment.
Ahha you noticed it my dear. He has reduced a little and that's good for his health. Lately he has been having high insulin issues so now I have to take special care of that :-( He behaves like a baby as if his health is my responsibility :-)
The awareness is increasing and people are becoming sensitive about these matters, more and more such places are now coming up in the city, including some offices as well.
