Today's India story
First of all wishing all my Indian friends a very Happy Republic Day. It is indeed a day of celebration for every Indian. The 77 years of this journey has been commendable. From what we were left with, we have risen again with great courage and determination. The sad part is that still India is portrayed as that poor weak country in some parts of the world. Problem is that some of these few people from the other parts of the world, when they travel to India, they only want to visit those underlying areas and based on that they make their assumptions. They never go to places which are flourishing and shows the good side of India. Crimes and bad things are happening in all parts of the world, but only a few countries get highlighted.
Every country and city has those part which are the underlying areas and look shabby and filthy. I have visited many Countries and I have not seen any such place where there has been absolutely no filth and poverty, except for Middle East countries. They are not even the ones who are attacking India. In Mumbai, there is this one very famous slum area called Dharavi. Many tourist when they visit my city, they want to visit Dharavi because they have seen it in some documentaries and movies released in their Country. They come with limited time, visit such places and then carry that perception back again and spread it to other people. India is huge and when one travels the length and breadth of the Country, they will see how rich we are in every possible way.
Today's India is very different, it is beautiful, scenic, strong, growing and advancing. When I come home to Mumbai, I feel life so eased out. Everything is at my doorstep, from grocery to banking or name it. If I want something I can get it in 10 mins. If I have some bank work the bank person will come to my home and do it for me. We have easy house help available, our medical systems are easy and of superior quality. Education systems are well established. There is work for almost everyone, which is again provided one wants to work or not. Opportunities are definitely there. In my city even if I step out at 2 a.m. in the night I feel very safe.

With the kind of population we have, I believe that our systems are super. Everything may not be 100% perfect but then no place in the world is perfect today. The best part about my Country what I love is our traditions and culture. We believe in family life and we are bonded with each other. We have a huge diversity and yet we all celebrate festivals as one nation. The family culture is still strong. we have the old and the young all included in everything. No one is left behind.
While we grow our roots are still strong and we are all connected with each other with love, care and respect for one another.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Yes, India is a beautiful city.
I love the country even though I am not a citizen.
