Throwbacks - # Iran holiday memories
Iran is a land of rich history and stunning landscapes. I visited this country some years back and was charmed by it's beauty. It was the month of April that I travelled and it's an ideal time to visit this country. I was always skeptical about travelling to this country, because it seems like if you visit Iran then getting a US visa is a challenge. But then a year back I applied for my U.S. visa and there was no hassle. I had gone in a 2 weeks long group tour with my family and I felt they were not enough. It had become very hectic, if we had planned for a few more days it would had been better and a little relaxed also.
Travelling Iran by yourself is not advisable, because language is a very big challenge there, if you have some local along with you, then it's helpful in communication. The other challenge for me was to keep my head covered at all times. I am not used to such dressing, and my head scarf would keep slipping down. Once you are out of your hotel room, the scarf has to be on the head at all times, even in the hotel lobby. If it would come down immediately someone will come and tell you, of you do not put it back up.
The markets of Iran are buzzing and very vibrant, their local food which is mainly kebabs and stews are something to relish on. For me being in Oman for a long time now, these foods are common, so it was not very fancy for me. Rather after some days I was looking out for different cuisines because I did not want to eat the kebabs anymore. But being in a group tour this is one disadvantage, you have to follow the gang. Still there were some places where I managed to get my own meals.
We visite multiple cities of Iran, like Tehran, Yazd, Isfahan, Shiraz and Tabriz. It was all long travel from one place to another so it did get exhausting. I got to explore the ancient capital of the Achaemenid empire, Persepolis, the 4000 years Cyprus tree, the Glass Palace, Damavand Mountains and lot of unique places experiencing their stunning architecture and warm hospitality.
There is not one place that I can say was the best, every place has it's own charm and beauty.
This was on our way to the Damavand mountains
A beautiful mosque
And there are couple of fire temples also in Iran which are of the Zoroastrian faith.
At Isfahan we got to see these beautiful Tea gardens
I experienced these amazing underwater caves, with the light effects the stalagmites and stalactites look very attractive.
Visited several archeological sites of the country
The site of Persepolis, one of the must visit places
Explored the cave dwellings, very unique place
This was a place in the passing. A lot of people come here to spend leisure time
Experiencing some of the local cuisine and entertainment.
It is one of our memorable family holiday
It was a good time when we travelled. There was a lot of news that it is not safe to travel, but then our tour operator gave us security that it is all going to be safe. And it was, there were no hassles all through the journey.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I have heard dates of Iran are the best ? Seems you enjoyed a nice time, it was definitely a daring step to travel there.
Yes, they do have very good dates produce, but the best dates are from Saudi Arabia. Iran is famous for it's variety of nut and saffron, which are best quality.
Stunning captures! Just loved them alot.!!
Thank you
