Talking about Women's Day
Yesterday the world celebrated the Women's day. I have a mixed feeling about this day's celebration. Over the years my belief of celebrating this day gets lesser and lesser. It's not that I do not support it, but sometimes I just feel why this hype on one fine day and it all feels so orchestrated. The very reason of this celebration puts women on the weaker side. We do not celebrate Men's day then why do we celebrate Women's day. At the same time I feel that we women go that extra mile of creating a life and that feminine energy deserves respect and celebration.
When I look around, yes a lot has changed over the past few decades and women are coming in power, but still there is lots to be achieved. From global elites to the lowest level of man, they still objectify women. Look at the Epstein files there is all the top list involved in it abusing women and children and we say, educate the man so that they know how to respect women. My thought is, are this top list not educated. Rather they have received the best education and yet their sight and standard towards women is malicious and low. So it's not about the upper class or lower class or any religion treating their women right or wrong.
We keep hearing of so many rape cases, neither the children nor old women are spared, then how can we celebrate women's day. This is a larger issue, but even otherwise coming to individual home lives, women are always expected to sacrifice. If someone has to stay home to take care of children then it's the women and not the men. Many jobs are still deemed unfit for women. Over centuries we have been made to believe that the women is the weaker gender and that's how men treat them.
It would be nice to celebrate this day when every single women will be treated equal and with dignity. In true sense they should be empowered and their power to be recognized, else it is just a superficial celebration of this day with no meaning.
I am blessed to have men in my life who have never differentiated between genders and never made me feel any different. As always hubby likes to pamper me, so he brought a rose bouquet

I wish some day in my life time I would really feel happy celebrating this day knowing that every women in the world is treated with respect and equality.
