As most of you all know that I live in Middle East and here my weekend starts by Thursday evening and gets over on Saturday. Sunday is the first working day of the week for me. Initially when I had moved here I used to feel very odd working on a Sunday, I used to always keep feeling that I am working on a holiday, but over a period of time now I have settled down with these routines. UAE has moved to Saturday and Sunday weekend aligning themselves with the rest of the world, but still other regions of Middle East are following their traditional working days and have Friday and Saturday as weekly off days.

Thursday evening I always want to step out of the home, because almost through out the work it is just work and home and except for grocery shopping or going to my Yoga class I do not step out for anything else. The grocery store is in my building itself on the ground floor and the Yoga class 5 minutes away, so that's not much of movement again. These days I have been using the treadmill more so I am not even stepping out much for walks. Thursday evening I need to do something different to break myself from the routines.

This Thursday we planned to go to the Rose Garden. It's a nice family park with a play area for children and also connecting to an amusement park. Kind of all in one, which is beneficial for all age groups. As one point of time I used to come here daily for my walks. The park is huge, there is a garden area and there is a walking path. We went on the garden area side as we had planned to have our dinner there. We had carried our food and had planned to have it at the park.

Let me share some pictures of the park with you all, it's a very well maintained place. This side of the park I do not visit often as it's all seating area and when I come for walks I do not need to venture in this part. Actually it was my first time venturing out on this side of the park and I was very impressed by the way it's being maintained.

There are seating arrangements all over the park which makes it convenient for elderly people also.

As I mentioned the amusement park which connects with the garden.

I was here with hubby and friends almost till midnight, the fresh air and the vibes of the place was not making us leave, finally we had to leave as it was the park shutting time. It was a very pleasant way to start my weekend.
