On our way to Bursa
I am writing this about my holiday in Turkey which got completed last week, and as I am organizing my photo album, I am going to write about all my experiences of the holiday. On day 2 after reaching to Istanbul, we had a day excursion to a place called Bursa, which was our final destination. I did not have much idea about this place, nor was it on my list to visit, but the guide told us that it's a very beautiful place, kind of a hill-station. The other attraction here was taking the cable car ride and going up to the mountains where we would get to see snow. Staying in the hottest regions, snow is always a fascination for me and family. So, I agreed to have this place added in to our itinerary.
The beauty of this excursion was that all along the way there was some experience, it was just not about the end point, all throughout the way there was something or the other. Like yesterday I wrote about the Tree, which was on the way.
Going to Bursa was not a straight road. Our guide picked us up from our hotel at 7 a.m. and from there our journey started. Our first stop was a sweet shop. Turkish delight sweets are very famous and they showed us how they make the sweets. It was interesting but nothing very great. The weather was rough on this day, it was cloudy and drizzling on and off. After a good 1.5 hour drive we had to change to a Ferry, which would take us to our next stop. On the ferry ride we had a good view of the Izmit gulf. Our car was also loaded on the Ferry.
The views here again were enjoyable.
We enjoyed feeding the birds here.
The ferry had some shopping also, which was majorly food and clothing.

I enjoy and love these kind of trips
On reaching the other side from where we had to continue to Bursa, on the way our guide brought us to this place, where they have ATV rides. It's a half an hour ride where you can explore the forest area of this region. I am not very keen for these activities, but my son enjoys so he did it.
There are so many of them, it is a famous activity of this place.
The place had a very warm surrounding, so while my Son went for the ride me and hubby were taking a stroll around the place.
From here on we proceeded to our next destination which was again a shop where they prepare different types of Jams which are famous of this place.

The interior of the ferry look very stunning, that ATV rides is a good one to take, I am right now imaging taking that ATV ride. So much good experiences in your holiday.

I find it quite amusing that in such an ancient and historic part of the world, the ferry's gift shop has a "Brooklyn, NY" hoodie for sale, rather than ones with "Istanbul" and "Turkiye" on them. 😂
