Little Appreciations in family
My hubby is a person of perfection and he wants everything very perfectly, especially when it comes to food. It is very difficult to please him when it comes to food. He always has some fault to find with my cook, and I do not like that at all. I tell him that it's ok if it's little here and there, we can manage or make corrections by ourselves. His counter reply is that if we do not tell her then she will keep making those mistakes again and again. Well, to an extent he is right, but I still believe that we can be little accommodating and overlook some little mistakes and appreciate the effort of that person.
Thank you is a very small word but it holds very big importance for making someone feel good. A little appreciation of acknowledging someone's effort is a way of showing your gratitude for whatever they are doing for you. Normally a home-maker is taken for granted and the family believes that it is normal for her to do all those things. Well, I believe it is not normal, it's also a job that she is doing. If she would not take care of the home well by providing everything that each family members need, they in turn will not be able to do things well that they are doing.
In some families I also see that the female of the home is working all throughout the day. The husband comes home from work and wants to relax but the wife has to keep working till the time she goes to bed. It is like an unwritten rule of the home. And yet the husband feels she is not doing anything significant. It also goes other way around, the husband may be doing many things and the wife overlooks it, thinking it is his responsibility to do it. I believe that for a happy successful family life, appreciation for each other is the biggest tool. If used all the time, it will keep the family well bonded.
We may be in a habit of showing gratitude to the world but the one place we may be missing out is our own home, which happens in majority of the families. We take each other so much for granted that we start believing each other's gestures of kindness as responsibilities and fail to appreciate each other's efforts. Anything that is being done regular may lose the importance of showing gratitude towards it, because it becomes very normal.
Not only at home, but these little gestures of gratitude and appreciation need to be done in all walks of life to keep reminding yourself that no one is ever obliged to do anything for you. If they are doing something good for you, it's out of love and respect.
What do you all think about this. Do you say thank you to each other and appreciate the efforts in your family for the little things done for each other?
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Indeed. I think the little things matter much more than the value we usually ascribe to them. Thank you can go a long way in making someone's day or being a glimmer of brightness against whatever obstacles they may be facing through. Besides, it doesn’t cost anything to say thank you or voice out our gratefulness but it's just that we humans tend to be more hyper aware of the bad than the good.
It looks little but it can mean the world to someone. Honestly when people around me are not grateful and take things for granted, some times I point it out to them and tell them that they need to show gratitude and not take things being done for them for granted
Definitely a thank you note can make our day. Though a small one, it can bring in immense pleasure for the one hearing. These things should be implemented in the Textbook syllabus, from a very young age, which will definitely give fruitful results.
True, children from very young age should be taught how to be grateful and appreciate the little things around them.
