Ladies of Hive Community Contest #230 - Childhood memories
Contest # 230 of @Ladiesofhive questions this week are:
1️⃣ What was your favorite TV show as a child, and why did you like it? Do you think it influenced your personality in any way as an adult?
~ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 / 𝐎𝐑 ~
2️⃣ Like most Ladies of Hive, you probably have plans and goals for the future, but today let's focus on the present. Tell us what part of your life you enjoy most right now.
As a child I did not have the liberty of watching television, there was no television in my home nor in the boarding school that I was in. The privilege of television came in my life in my teens and that too it was very restricted. At the boarding we could watch it on only 2 days. One was on Sunday morning, where there was a mythology show Mahabharat and another in the evening, when there would be a movie. The other day was on Wednesday when there was a half an hour music show in the evening. I enjoyed the music show and would look forward to it. Though none of them were my favorites, it was just very unique at that time and something different.
At home we still did not have a television, but at my neighbors there was one, so we would go there. They were also 3 girls, almost same age, that time we would watch this show called Mind your Language, it was a British comedy. I grew very fond of that show and really enjoyed watching it. The show was about people from different backgrounds who have joined a English speaking class. Everyone trying to learn English and in the bargain making big blunders with the language. It was hilarious and I would laugh non-stop. Now also I watch clips of that show and I find it very funny. This was one of my favorite comedy show.
I am not sure about the influence of the show on my life, but yes I can say that I like to be always light hearted and looking for fun factor always in my life. No matter whatever the situation is in my life I have always found ways to lighten it up with some humor in life.
True, plans and goals are constantly going on in life, and at the same time present is so important because that's the moment we are living in. As some of you may know that last year I built a property which I am also renting out for short leisure stays. A lot of my time goes in managing this property, marketing, promoting, accounts, social media promotion, all of this has to be done. I am really enjoying doing this. On a daily basis I am making sure that the property is up to date in terms of cleanliness and amenities. I like when people share good feedback of their stays at my property because that's an endorsement of my work.
To be very honest this was not even my goal at any point of time in life. My goal was to build this property for my own leisure stay away from the city. But then right now me and hubby being away from home for months, I have to keep it locked. So then we started receiving suggestions that I should put it up on Airbnb for short rental stays. A locked property creates more problems against a functional one. With the renting I also have some income and I use that in maintaining the property and paying the bills. So that way I am not increasing my regular monthly expenses. I started doing this since almost 8 months now and the response is good, and I am also enjoying it.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

We, once had a similar TV. I wished I had kept it
This brought back so many memories. Mind Your Language was just too funny, I used to watch it with my siblings, the language blunders were pure gold. And Mr Brown has so much patience hahahahahahahah. Sadly he died with multiple drug intoxication
I can relate! As someone who lives in countryside only few had television back then..
So, I got used to it that I am not fond of watching TV 😆
Saludos es bueno tener propiedades y el humor es bueno tambien
