2️⃣ If you could travel through time, would you go to the future or the past?

Trying to win over me in a romantic relationship has been out of scope since a very age, because I got married so early that all doors of other romantic relationships got closed after that. But yes, in some other ways there have been instances where people have tried to win my attention on them to get some work done, or to just try to please me.

A cousin of mine, who has always been on and off on disappearing modes from my life, always comes back being very nice to me when she has some work. She always tries to play the victim card so I keep away from her, it gets too much of emotional drama for me to handle. Over so many years of my life, it has been her pattern, she disappears and behaves as if she does not know me at all, and when she needs me for something, she will pop up suddenly with some grand gifts to please me and then gradually get her work done, and after that again become a stranger.

A couple of years back, on one occasion when she behaved the same way, I told her that I would like to keep a permanent life long distance from her. She did not expect that from me, as I have been always very accommodating, thinking she is younger to me and immature, so I can make understandings. There is always a line that one has to draw.

A year back, she again contacted me, and for some days I did not respond to her. She got after my life like as if she is my lover, and one day she stepped right home. She came with a gift of a Saree, thinking I would be wooed with it. That time I literally told her in these words, that stop doing these dumb things, you cannot win me over material things. So then she started crying and making all th fuss to get back to me. I felt sorry and compromised.

Guess what, in just a month's time, once her work was done, she was back to square again and I had no words for her. This time, I did not even say anything. I just cut off from her completely. In Jan, while I was in India, we came across at one family gathering and I behaved like a stranger, walking past her. She too did not react and as of now the chapter is closed :-)

If I could time travel, I would like to travel in past. As such I would not want to go to the past or future because whatever has happened in the past has made me what I am today, and I like and enjoy the person I am today. So if my experiences would be any different I may not be what I am.

If I have to, then I would prefer past, and possibly make one or two amendments in my life, where I have gone terribly wrong, and regret about it. Future, is something I am not in a hurry to unfold, let it unfold in it's right time.
