1️⃣ You've earned the money to buy a house, and you have two options. The first is a big, beautiful house, but one whose best years are behind it. It needs a lot of repairs and remodeling, and therefore its price is low. The second option is a small house. It's not as beautiful as the previous one, but you don't have to invest time or money in repairs so its price is much higher than the previous one. What do you choose? Are you on the "repair to my liking" team or the "buy everything ready and fast" team?

2️⃣ In my country, school vacation is over, while in others, summer has just ended. What preparations are you making for your home and routine for the coming months?

When it comes to a home, I like it all my way and would not settle for anything less. Between a big and a small house my choice will always be a big house, then no matter whatever the condition, because I know all that can be worked upon. I am willing to pay for the repair works and put in my time and I will 100% go in for the big house, even if the condition of it is not good. Because with it I have all the scope of designing the home exactly the way I want. Rather I feel it will be good for me, because when you have to do something all over again, you can do it exactly your way.

The small ready house is surely a convenience, but I will look at long term convenience which is big house, more space, designed as per my requirements, so why settle for less. Surely, there is effort to it, which I am willing to put. It is my own real life example that I can give. Couple of years back when I was planning to have a second home somewhere far from the city. I checked many options, there were a whole lot of ready homes that I was shown, but none of them fitted in my criteria's that I had in mind. Some homes were good but the location was not, some locations were good but the home design was not. Finally I decided to buy a land in the type of location that I liked and build my own home, exactly the way I wanted.

Hubby was not very much with me in this idea, because it was a hell lot of effort. The location that I liked had no water and electricity supply also, there were lot of challenges, but I was determined on the location, and somehow convinced him to go ahead. Today, I feel so proud of my accomplishment, and enjoy every moment I spend there. Every corner of the home is designed by me and to my satisfaction. It took 2 years but all worth it. For me it will always be more effort and get the best, rather then low effort and compromise.

For the second question, I am out of that phase now where I need to align my schedule with the school vacation :-) There are no preparations that I need to make keeping in mind the school schedule. Yes, but now the festival season is starting and for that I do have plans. My friends are coming over to Oman for a holiday next month so for that I need to prepare. It's going to be a full house as they are 6 of them and will be staying with me for around 10 days. I still have time to do things, but a week before they arrive I will store up additional food supply and have the house ready for them. The next couple of months I also have some travel plans, so all that planning is going on. Right now I am a free bird who has convenience to do things at own wish whenever I want.
