When I was working in a full time job, I always kept thinking about how I could make my life easy with the multiple responsibilities I had. I had a job which took away a lot of time of my day, it was long working hours, and then when I would come home, I had my son to take care of, his studies and all the extra curricular activities. With all of that, there were home chores also to do. By weekend it would be so exhausting that I would feel like hiding out somewhere. And I always wondered wish there were ways to make it easy.

This was around 2.5 decades back and there was no online shopping at that time. Whatever had to be purchased, I had to go to the market. On my way from work I would go to the market, but groceries and then come home. I would try to fill up everything during the weekend, but still there were some things that were needed fresh or forgotten items for which the market visit was required. It was tedious and there were times when I would forget certain things and had to either do without it or go back again. Gradually online shopping came in to place. Life became little easy for me, because I started ordering all home utilities and groceries online. Here I had to plan well, because the delivery would take one or two days. So if I would forget anything to order, and needed it in the moment then again the market visit was required. But online shopping did ease out some burden from my shoulder.

In the last couple of years there are better services that have come up, first it was the same day delivery and now in the last 2 years there is instant 15 minutes delivery. Me being old school, I still prefer to visit market at times. In those days I had lack of time, but now I have time at my hand, so I would not mind visiting a market, but still I keep forgetting something or the other, and when I start cooking I realize. For my forgetfulness this 15 minutes delivery is like a blessing. There are times when I have not planned in advance what has to be cooked, and I decide last minutes, so even for those times this instant delivery is very helpful for me.

And trust me when they say 10 to 15 minutes, they are there within the time and there is no delay. The only thing I do not prefer to order from these sources is the fresh vegetables and fruits. Twice I have ordered and I have not liked the quality. Somethings are good and some are not, so I am always hesitant to order anything that is fresh required. Unless I have no choice I do not order these things.

I am only wondering what's going to be next in online shopping.
