Happy Diwali to all my Indian friends

Finally the main festival day arrives. From last so many days the Diwali cheer has been on and there was so much to celebrate since the past few days. Here's wishing all my Indian friends a very Happy Diwali and I wish that this festival of light brings in loads of joy and prosperity in everyone's life.

For the festival I made some rangolis at my doorstep. I used stencils for making both of them.

Along with our friends we had a Diwali gathering over the weekend. It was decided that we will all be in Indian ethnic wear so I wore a saree and hubby wore a Kurta. I enjoy getting dressed in these traditional wears, the feeling is special. I do not wear a saree very often, only if I have to attend a wedding then I will wear or some days like these. Along with Saree there are other accessories like Bangles, a Bindi on the forehead, long earrings......it is always very special getting dressed up in a saree and needless to say there is a photoshoot also ......haha.... which hubby after sometimes gets tired and annoyed.

All the ladies were in Saree and we had a gala time taking pictures. Sorry I am going to distort all faces for privacy purpose.

We had a wonderful time playing some games, singing songs and a lot of fun with food and drinks. Food was catered from outside which was delicious.

Evenings like these are full of laughter and fun, Specially when you are away from home where all the magic is happening, in that case we need to create our own magic.

So now that the Diwali Festival is almost over things will go quiet for sometime until Christmas and again there will be festival cheer all around. These few months are good times of the year when they are filled with loads of celebrations. Wishing everyone a wonderful and a joyous day ahead.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Both drawings are beautiful, especially the second one with the oval light. I enjoy the joyful atmosphere during festivals that seem to also carry magic in the air.
Happy Diwali to you :)
