Habits that I want to change but unable to

avatar

I am a late riser and I know this is not a very good practice. I normally wake up between 7.30 and 8, by this time most of the people are in their offices. When I was in a full-time job, even I had that schedule of 7.30 a.m. reporting to work, but after I quit my job, I got lazy and started waking up late. Though sometimes if I have had an early hit to bed then I do wake up early. My system is like on auto mode, it needs 8 hours of sleep so when that's done I wake up.

The days I wake up early, I finish my prayers, yoga, meditation everything early and then also finish the blogging activity and I realize that I have so much of morning productive time at hand. My battery is at it's best till 3 p.m. and after that I need a short nap or just lie down, evenings are normally some work out or activity time again, but the real productive time is till 3 p.m. and when I wake up early I have more of that productive time at hand.

This is one disadvantage of not working in a office, you keep slipping on your time. But then it also has it's own advantage. Sometimes I think to myself that it's ok if I cannot wake up early, after all where do I need to run and who do I need to report to? But then again I know these are self consoling thoughts to justify my late wake ups.

When the weather is good I think many times that I need to wake up early and go for morning walks before the sunrise, but it's never happened till date. At night when I go to sleep I think of it, but morning when I wake up I tell myself, it's ok I can do it some other time.....haha.....I guess a lot of us do that.

So what are your habits that you want to change but you are unable to?

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Before I went back to school, I was unemployed(On purpose), but I was used to waking up at 5am to go to work and thats a little early for me xD
So when I was unemployed I decided to wake up at 06:30 am everyday and I still do that even on days when my school starts at 12pm :D
Its just the consistency & fairly good sleep I prioritizes :D

That's a very good practice. I could not keep up with it when I quit my job :-(

Yeah, the early riser topic ... I'm similar to you when it comes to waking up between 7 and 8. The only time you can yank me out of bed at 4 or 5 in the morning is when I'm going for an early morning dive 😂🤿 This allows me to squeeze in up to five dives per day including a night dive (my favorite).

5 dives a day.....wow, that must be so awesome. Same here, I am early out of the bed only when I have to travel somewhere :-)

Naina ji 7:30 is a good time to wake up if you don't have any office or you are not a student. I sometimes wake up at 3..lol don't be confused it's 3 pm.😭 Ofcourse when I sleep in the morning after doing night's work as a bachelor.😜

I think some people are naturally "early risers" and some are naturally "late risers" and I don't think it makes any difference. Most people sleep about the same amount each night, regardless of when they go to bed. I think someone who sleeps from midnight-to-8am can be just as productive as someone who sleeps from 9pm-to-5am — it's just a different schedule!

Throughout my life, I've had jobs at all hours of the day/night. I've worked in offices where I worked 8am-to-5pm, in factories where I worked the evening-shift from 3pm-to-11pm, and jobs in hotels where I worked the night-shift from 11pm-to-7am.

It's all good, there are just different times for working -versus- sleeping, but still plenty of time for sleeping 7 or 8 hours before starting one's "day" and going to work. 🙂

That's very well said, for me particularly I want to change this habit because I am at my best in the morning hours and post 3 p.m. automatically my body goes into a different mode, which I can term it as a relaxed or lazy mode, so if I am able to wake up early I will have more productive time at hand. But then yes, at the end of the day most of us sleep around 7 to 8 hours and then the rest of the time how it is spent depends on each individual

The habit that I really want to change Ma'am @nainaztengra is my eating habit. There are times that I can't control myself from eating

Awww.....I know it can be very difficult, when you are into a habit of over eating, then try to eat some healthy heavy food, this will decrease your appetite over a period of time.
